Self-righteous 13 year-old script kiddies with inferiority complexes. Thats all they are, and thats all they will ever be.
LulzSec and Anonymous start attacking all governments, banks, etc
Oh man, we can connect this to this Topic: http://www.giantbomb.com/assassins-creed-brotherhood/61-31001/what-would-you-whisper-to-your-assassination-victims/35-465467/?There just has to be a line of how stupid you can be before the Government is allowed to send Sam Fisher clones to murder you.
What would Sam Fisher whisper to the hackers?
If their past records of hacking has been any indication, this is a bunch of BS.Unrelated, but every time I see you post I want to go play Red Dead Redemption. hahah....
On topic though, I really am just getting sick of these guys. What happened to that Jester guy (yes, I refuse to spell it with the number 3) revealing who these clowns were?
Good, cause all this hacking ain't good for anybody, but at least now the two involved are both things I don't particularly care for. Its like seeing two assholes fight each other. All you can do is bust out your phone to record and just watch.
Out manned and outgunned, what are they hoping to accomplish? This is just reaching increasing levels of stupid. Can all of them just go away yet?
I know lie really not even the gov can stop them what are doing, I bet it's like thisThis was getting old 3 weeks ago. Now it's just sad.
"sir they hack us again, don't you want to do something about it"
"nah, they didn't take any thing important "
"but they took are plans for new Military weapons "
"who cares I need to go on a trip with my family!"
"but, sir"

@l4wd0g said:The great thing about being a hacker, if you're really good at what you do, the "man" will try to hire you. And pay you good money to secure their networks, rather than bust them open. This is a fight they cannot win.
As soon as they are considered domestic terrorists for cyber attacks it will be over quicker than you think.

A last desperate attempt ... lulzsec is almost over. All of these guys have been exposed by now and the data was handed to the authorities.

Sadly, none of that evidence is actually actionable on its own. Without thorough forensic data-mining of the lulzsec guys hdds none of that info is proof of anything.
Read these sources. There is a lot of incriminating data, that wasn't released to the public but directly given to the FBI.
You're not?
@Bismarck said:And we're stuck in the crossfire.... cool stuff. You're not caught in anything. I'm really surprised that so many gamers are upset by this. Why, because they shutdown PSN for a month? Really, you're pissed because of that?
Tell me, what do gamers have to do with corrupt governments?
What does taking away a gaming service for a month (from a big chunk of your supporters, mind you) achieve in the battle for free speech?
How does releasing private password and login data help in making the internet less government controlled?
What good for the battle of more internet privacy does stealing 70,000,000 credit card numbers achieve?
If Anonymous/Lulzsec wanted to find/release corrupt government data, they would do just that. Fucking with the people whose privacy you're claiming to defend is bullshit.

The PSN attack happened because the hacking collective were interested in defending the rights of people which Sony sought to subvert when they issued illegal subpeonas and got away with it.
What about DDoSing LoL, EvE online, the hack on Bethesda, Nintendo even tho they didnt do anything to Nintendo, and what about Sega. They DDoS'd the EvE server as far as I know 2 times. They also managed to get into PSN(Or was it something connected to it) again few weeks ago and if I remember correct they posted the crap they got from it. So gamers should be pissed. You should've seen the shitstorm on the LoL forums ( I dont play the game, I just went to read some stuff)

Until there is confirmation that those credit cards are being used en mass by LulzSec there's no reason for any of you to be pissed.I think that the fact that these so-called 'defenders of free speech and internet privacy' do the very thing they're claiming to despise is enough of a reason to be pissed.
Corporate regimes have been effecting legislation through lobbyists and campaign contributions for decades now. If the hackers aim is to expose this, well... it's already full well known by the public.
@Ragdrazi said:@Herocide said:Sadly, I don't see this ending any other way.Welcome to the inevitable end of net neutrality.
Hacking has nothing to do with the death of Net Neutrality.
However, corporate greed does. Why do you think these groups are doing this?
Corrupt corporate regimes have their fingers affecting legislation through shady politicians, and they want that exposed.
If the hackers are truly able to bring their talents to bear against corporate and political power, what do you think the response of the powerful is going to be? What do you honestly think it's going to be? They're going to flip the kill switch.

it may be enough (read reasonable cause) to get a warrant so they can acquire the HHD/SSD and the warrant could also allow them to have access to their IP providers records...
Nothing will happen because guess what. I can access YouTube, WikiPedia, Giantbomb, Porn.
I don't need anything else in my internet and I think 99% of the internet users just use Facebook, Twitter, Online Gaming and a few hobby/infomation sites. No one else gives a shit about hacking anything or trying to change anything.
