Yes but that man had knives, no one wanted to risk their own lives to save a guy who was probably dead, not to mention you'd be terrified and just want to get the fuck out if you saw this happening. Also later on the bus driver did go back in with a crowbar to see if the guy he attacked was still alive, he was not so he got the fuck out of there.
It's too bad someone wasn't carrying near him. He should've been shot in the head.
