Maybe he cast her after washing the TMNT van this time instead of his Ferarri. I would have definately preferred someone in the likes of Amy Adams to play the part.

I'd hate to be that guy, but what's the deal with people and the word "definitely". Is it super difficult to spell properly or something? My mind just zeroes in on that word whenever I see it spelled with an "a" and no "e".

I was a huge TMNT fan when I was little but I have no recollection of this April character at all. And since I wasn't going to see this movie anyway this news doesn't affect me at all. So yay!

I would have gone with Karen Gillan formerly of Dr. Who. Yes, she's Scottish but we all know country of origin should really mean nothing to a proper actor. She would be much more charismatic as April O'Neil, more believable as either a computer technician or television journalist (depending on which April they use), and she's as cute as a button!

I have nothing against Megan Fox, I just don't want to see April leaning over motorcycles. I guess that's more Michael Bay's decision, but still...

Oh settle down you two. Dacnomaniac probably read it as McGhee thinking Emma Stone isn't hot ("at least Fox is hot" when put next to a statement about Emma Stone, the implication being that Fox is hot and Emma Stone is... not).

But McGhee probably didn't intend for his comment to be a comparison between the two, rather two separate statements. The first making clear his preference and the second stipulating a quality of Fox that is, to him, redeemable or satisfactory.

Just a petty misunderstanding about a petty comment about a petty story that's got me writing this petty response on a whim.

I wish the internet would just ignore shit like this. Even before this announcement, it was obvious that this movie is going to be terrible.

I really get tired of adults holding on to shit like GI Joe, He-Man and TMNT like that's all that there was to life in the 80s and 90s. I thought the TMNT cartoon was probably better than most kids cartoons at the time and spawned a couple of decent games, but I was already a reader of the comics in the late 80s before "kowabunga" and pizza were even associated with the Turtles and to me, April is supposed to be a computer programmer who I always assumed was black.

I'd honestly be surprised if this was true. Didn't Megan Fox leave Transformers originally because she compared Michael Bay to a Nazi, and that she never wanted to work with him again?

I don't want them to make a film out of TMNT to begin with. Not unless it's entirely animated (especially in the style of the new Nick cartoon, which I'm liking so far).

I never had high hopes for this movie, so I'm okay with it. She's hot, so I say "sure."
