Metallica or Linkin Park?

I voted Metallica because they will be rmembered as the better band in the long term, but it is an odd comparison to go with.

I do like LP's Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but I just like Metallica far more than Linkin Park.

And... I'm going to that Sonisphere festival as well today. WOOO.

(The festival includes 9 bands playing: Metallica, Die Toten Hosen, The Prodigy, Mastodon, Anthrax, Lamb of God, Down, In Extremo, and Five and the Red One.)

I don't like metallica much, but when compared to linkin park, there's no contest.

Linkin Park has always sucked to me, and Metalica has sucked since 1991 and forward.

I remember loving Hybrid Theory and Meteora back in the day, but I absolutely HATE their Linkin Park's new stuff.

I voted Metallica but my actual vote would be Metallica and "Hybrid Theory/Meteora" Linkin Park. Mostly because Minutes to Midnight just stunk in my opinion, only like 3 songs sounded like early Linkin Park and "Hands Held High" sounded like Mike Shinoda's "Fort Minor" songs (*which I also liked*). Everything just sounded like "Pop music", ugh.

i think they are two different bands. i voted for metallic.  i like both bands.

As for all the people wondering why these bands are getting compared, it was simply because of this festival http://uk.sonispherefestival.net/line-up/

There must be some caveat I missed stating Post-Alt Metallica and on vs Linkin Park, because that's the only way metallica can not be picked over them. I mean as far as american metal goes Metallica are like the elder statesmen, and linkin park is just whatever to me, so obviously Metallica for me.
