Moon Pies are some of the tastiest things invented by man.  They are so tasty that I'm kind of pissed someone didn't win a Nobel Peace Prize for making them!!!

Nonetheless, the question I present to you is simple:

Do you eat your Moon Pies plain, or do you pop them into the microwave for a couple of seconds and get that marshmallow filling a little softer, more gooey, and oh so tasty?

Whenever I eat any of them, I usually eat them plain, but microwaving them is great. I should do that again, you are making me hungry.

Both ways are spectacular, but nothing beats a microwaved Moon Pie.

My wife likes Moon Pies and microwaved. I think they're nasty, give me a banana... not microwaved and not brown, that's gross too.

Don't get me started on the greatness of Oatmeal Creme Pies, sir.  When I was a kid, my grandma would buy me a box a week, and I'd finish them all in one sitting.  I LOVE me some Oatmeal Creme Pies.

Is it just me or are the oatmeal creme pies smaller than they used to be. I remember a time when one pie would take up almost half of my lunch box, now they are so tiny.

When I was in Basic Combat Training they had Moon Pies in the DeFac to tempt us. Anyone who ate one would get the entire platoon treated to about two hours of being "worked out." Thus I have a psychological inability to look at or touch a Moon Pie.

I pity you, good sir.

Also, I hate to say it, but I don't like Oatmeal Creme Pies. My pseudo-anorexic ass can polish off a whole box of Moon PIes in minutes, though.

Wagon Wheels are better because they have a thin layer of strawberry jam in them. It looks like Moon Pies are just marshmallow.

Oh. My. God.

That sounds like the most kickass thing ever and I require these, but I've never seen them in a grocery store around here.

Oddly enough, most the local grocery stores where I live sell both Pocky and Ramune. Even in the rednecky parts of town.

Guys, I love moonpies.  But some things do not improve under the influence of microwaving, and I feel like moonpies are one of them.  You're taking a perfectly good moonpie and fundamentally altering its taste and texture!  The designers of the moonpie never accounted for such atrocities.

And to all of the moonpie haters posting here--go buy yourself one and eat it.  As long as you can ignore total absence of nutritional value, I think you'll find that you enjoy it more than you remember.

Microwaving Moon Pies > Watching widescreen movies at 4:3 resolution?

On a similar note, has anyone ever microwaved a Pop Tart? I'm thinking about doing so within the next few minutes.

Believe it or not, I do not own a toaster :O

Also, apparently, I didn't own Pop Tarts, so I ate nothing before work and wound up getting a delicious Freebirds burrito on my way home.

The Little Debbie ones are smaller and, last time I checked, were stingy on the marshmellow filling.

I want some fucking Wagon Wheels. Like, right now. I haven't been able to find them anywhere.

those things are delicious. As far as moon pies, I have had them once, nay, twice in my entire life. Never microwaved. Perhaps I will try it some day. As for right now, my diet will not allow it. Excuse me while I drink my seaweed/wheatgrass shake.
