Sometimes you hear a song and the lyrics themself touch you. What song has done this? For me, this song has by my far the deepest and most emotionally tied lyrics I have ever heard
Most Meaningful Lyrics Ever?
"This song has truly changed my lifeO M G!!! My life will never be the same again!
"
Thank you so much.
Hmm this is a tough one, i'd say quite a few Deftones songs, lyrically deep.
As something more lighthearted, DragonForce have produced some very good lyrics recently, if not heavy on the cheese, "The Last Journey Home" springs to mind in particular.
Are we going based solely on the words and not the tone implied by them through vocalization? The reason I ask is because, personally, I think Sinch's "Sails" is the most meaningful, but in terms mostly of vocalization rather than actual words. The words themselves hold a lot of weight, but it's the way they are vocalized that add the real emotion and meaning to them.
Say Hello 2 Heaven. A lot of it goes along with what jakob was saying with the vocalization adding a new level. I was going through a very close friend's suicide when it started to really move me.

I was going through a very close friend's suicide when it started to really move me.Two other songs that do it for me with the vocalization are "View From Heaven" and "How I Go" by Yellowcard. It's the use of the female vocals in those songs that really does it. Great lyrics in both, and especially since "How I Go" is basically the story of Big Fish, which is one of my favorite movies. I ball like a sissy every time when Albert Finney and Jessica Lange are in the bathtub together.Possibly my favorite song, actually. I have no vid for it, though. Just get it off iTunes and enjoy."
Oh Jesus, why do so many bands cover that song? The vocal delivery is what made it go from decent to great. Every band that covers it tries to "go a different direction" with them, and always comes up WAY short.

I just enjoyed Evergreen Terrace's delivery much more. To each their own, though...

Jakob your a troll simple as that, and i highly doubt you've ever listend to any zepplin songs your probably one of those that has to have political crap in your music to satisfy your trolling ass. specially since you seem to wanna talk and critique instead of just posting music.
Blind Mary
Also, Radiohead's song "True Love Waits", it's so beautiful:
Oops, tried to post a better and fucked it all up.

Doesn't that imply that he knows Zep's stuff?
Hey, I have a certain taste in music, and if you disagree with me I'm going to down vote your choice because my opinion reflects objective reality.

Glad to find another person who loves Big Fish. that is also one of my favorites. I haven't listened to that song but I should if it is like that. And that scene with Albert Finney and Jessica Lange is terrific. The line "I'll never dry out" gets me every time.

WilliamRLBaker, I was born and raised on classic rock. Born to AC/DC, no joke. The fact that I own I, II, III, IV, Houses, and Graffiti on CD AND vinyl alone is enough for me to be satisfied with my own musical tastes. The fact that YOU would post something like "Stairway" over "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" or "Achille's Last Stand" is a sad, sad idea.
"-_-why is it that most of the posts you do is to belittle someone? please get over yourselfWilliamRLBaker, please adhere to the following steps:1. Grab 4-way.2. Shove 4-way up rectum.3. Turn sideways.4. Scream "FUCK STAIRWAY" while you do it.Zep has FAR better songs than that rack of shit. I'm sorry, but "Immigrant Song" has more meaning to it than "Stairway".I can follow the rules of "to each their own..." until someone brings up "Stairway"..."
