Hey everyone. So I need some help. My girlfriends birthday is coming up and herfavorite song is If I Die Young by The Band Perry, she loves it. I really want to incoporate it as a part of a gift but i have no idea what to do. I jus feel like she would freak if I could somehow use it as apart of a gift. She owns the cd so i cant just buy the cd. I want it to mean something instead of buying the song. Anyone have an idea of how i could use this song as a gift?
Im not that musically inclined. I am making her a gift basket and wanted to use the lyrics as a gift somehow in some creative way. But i would love to learn the song on guitar but i dont know if 17 days is enough to learn it.

This would be nice. Hadn't heard the song before, checked it out on youtube. A monkey could strum it, it's stupid easy in that sense, but you'd have to play the melody too for her to recognize the song, and throw the chords in in chorus or whatever. Maybe you can find a tab of the melody on teh interwebz if you haven't got the time to transcribe it?

as for real help after a quick google of lyrics my first thought that springs to mind is plan a picnic with say a "satin" lined basket, beside a "river", a "sharp knife" for whatever food being eaten some "roses" or even say a "bed of roses". Christ I sound lame here but its all I could think of, good luck Casanova ;)

As romantic as that sounds in a very cheesy way, she'd have to be Sherlock fucking Holmes to get the reference. Still better than what I was gonna say next... (which would've been that the girl in the video seems to hold a very fake looking Tennyson book.. Tennyson is a fine poet, so get something by him for her :P)

Considering the song, a small card playing it accompanied by a bomb would be so full of irony that any person could appreciate it.
Otherwise, agreed with Jimbo. Put it to a romantic setting, dinner or anything. It can't go wrong.
