Okay, this has been driving me crazy since I woke up (had a nightmare similar to the scene that I'm about to describe), so hopefully you guys can help me.

In the scene, a man is in a gray brick room, and he sees his daughter standing in the corner (very similar to the last shot of Blairwitch, even though I think this is an old horror film) with her back turned, wearing a bright red overcoat with a hood. Her face is obscured, but the man seems to be sure that it's his daughter. He then calls out to her. After not responding for a few moments, she turns around, revealing herself to be this CREEPY-ASS-LOOKING old woman. She approaches the man with a knife and then stabs him to death.

That's all I got.

I'm not just imagining this, am I? I know I got that image in my head from somewhere, but I just can't remember where. Any help would be appreciated!

Doesn't ring a bell; any idea roughly when it was made - 00s? 80s? 50s?

Don't Look Now with Donald Sutherland. Most people will remember it if you mention the 10 minute long, probably real sex scene.

God, the description made me think of another movie that I wish I could remember. It's about this dude who starts seeing shit around his house (I think he just moved there, or his wife/kid died or something like that) and for some reason he starts digging in the basement. I think hes searching for a woman's body for some reason and she as a ghost is helping him by scaring the shit out of him every chance she gets. I also also have a vague memory of suffocation.. Like the guy who killed her, suffocated her using suran wrap or pillowcases or something like that. They could be two different movies, but I think they are related.... I just remember seeing it in the theaters as a kid and being super freaked out. Ring any bells? Its in the 00's.

I think that movie you're thinking about is Stir of Echoes starring Kevin Bacon. I was sorta freaked out too when I saw it. If I remember correctly, the body was hidden inside a wall.

You are correct in both the movie was Stir of Echoes and...

The woman's body was located in the basement wall. Paint it black was playing when those two assholes raped and killed her. Good film.

Sometimes funny how guys always think sex scenes in movies are real. Actors aren't porn stars, and there is a huge difference between love/sex scenes in average movies and scenes in porn movies.

From Wikipedia: Sutherland subsequently issued a statement through his publicist stating that the claims were not true, and that Bart did not witness the scene being filmed. Peter Katz, the film's producer, corroborated Sutherland's account that the sex was not authentic.
