need new show to like

I haven't been in to a new show except "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia"

Here are my tastes:
The Shield (finished)
Stargate SG1 (stopped watching after O'Neal left)
Family Guy (its become too stupid)
American Dad (same problem as one above)
Spongebob Squarepants (still watching it, some new episodes are really stupid)

Any suggestions ...

Have you ever seem Babylon 5? It might not fit exactly with your tastes but maybe if you want to generalise you could say its like the Sci-Fi and some of the fun of SG1 with the seriousness of The Sheild. And you can get all 5 Seasons of Babylon 5 and 5 Tv Movies plus 1 spin-off series for £60 off of Amazon.

Go look up Spaced on Hulu.

Eastbound and Down (Danny McBride is awesome) or Party down is like the office and arrested developement mixed funny show.

• Supernatural (it's near the end of the series or so I've heard, but the show does a great job catching you up before each episode.)
• Scrubs (the original cast is now gone in the upcoming new season so you might want to check with the old stuff)
• SportsNation (if you like sports and user generated shows.)

Arrested Development (Funny ass show. Will fill your love from Family Guy and Spongebob)
Firefly (Sci Fi fun)
 Burn Notice (Cool and fun Spy. And they talked about it on the Bombcast)

Doctor Who is pretty awesome if you can get by the not so good English television effects. Battlestar Galactica is also pretty good.

Entourage! It is the best show ever! Every time a new episode comes out I watch it AT LEAST 3 times in a row.

Friends. I know it's old, but my friend recently showed me it and it's hilarious. Try it out. :)

Monk and Psych are pretty good

If you liked The Shield I recommend The Wire.

Psyche is awesome. If you can, watch Weeds, it's my current favorite.

I'll second pretty much everything suggested so far (The Wire, Spaced, Arrested Development, Doctor Who)

You can try out Firefly as well.

I don't care what your taste is...  If you have any sense of humor, you WILL love Arrestsed Development.

Royal Pains debuted on the USA Network not too long ago, and it is currently one of my favorite newest shows out on the tube. You'd have to be interested in the medical-comedy-drama genre, such as Scrubs. Which is another great TV show.

I like arrested development but taught it to be a little dry at times. Plus its not on tv anymore.
I have seen the wire and taught it was pretty good, but I don't think I am ready for something as heavy as the Shield just yet.

I am going to try Psyche, I saw it a couple of times and kind of dug it. It was very interesting. I ll start with this. Monk I have seen a couple of times and taught it was good too.

I absolutely hate battle star galactica. It was way too over dramatic. I didnt care for the plot, the characters or the sci fi action.
Stargate SG1 hay days was something really awesome.

I am on the fence about Burn Notice. I think its a bit too trendy but I do like the main character and the chick and his friend. I ll turn in from time to time to check this show out.

I'm not sure if your tastes would fit into this but, The Sopranos is a fucking amazing show, give it a try if your into the whole Mature/Mafia/Family type shows.

Lost, House, 24....those are in their senior and lost is ending but is worth the ride to know you will have answers waiting for you when you watch it December

the last season of 24 was great, see that and season 5 or 4 and your set to go for next January

A good Sci-Fi show is Firefly, it's only 13 episodes long and comes with a film, but it's a brilliant series and has so much charm.

Spongebob and iCarly are the only still-running TV shows I watch. All the other shows I watch ended years ago.

Arrested Development. One new show you might like that comes on Comedy Central in the morning is Dr. Katz. That is one funny show.

Dexter (Showtime) and Sons of Anarchy (FX).  Both of these are starting up new seasons in September.

If you don't mind an old show a couple of my favorites are X-Files and Millenium. Personally I am watching Breaking Bad at the moment.
