So I'm looking to buy some shoes. Im looking for shoes that are for running and for every day use. So do you duders know any good shoes? I mean what shoe brand, website, and so on. It'll be great if it's customizable if not that's fine.
Need some shoes.

New Balance is my brand of choice because America. Plus, they've lasted longer than most of the Nike shoes I've had in the past.
Well depends on what you're doing? If you're on your feet most of the day I'd suggest rollin' with some new balance sneakers because they're pretty pimp while maintaining comfort. If you just want flat-bottomed shoes my personal preference of late is converse because, I dunno why the fuck not? But, I only go with the suede because I like suede. They have pretty good stabilizability too. But, follow your heart duder.
I went to a New Balance last month and got fitted for a pair of "Minimus" shoes for running and everyday stuff. I really like them and would recommend them, but they are rather expensive. I go running with them several days a week so they're worth it to me.
I don't like attendants at stores. I always feel pressured.

Get some Vibram Five Fingers so you can be that guy.
I don't know why, but that really cracked me up.
Go with Adidas. You can't go wrong with Adidas.
I would get Vans. I really like those shoes especially with that whole OTW lineup. I wouldnt get Jordans though. Goddamn, I hate those shoes so much.
I recommend going to the store and trying on a bunch of different brands. Not recommending buying the shoes in the store because you can often find a better deal online, but different brands have different sizes and feels. Some are wide, some are narrow, some run small, some have high arches, some have no arches. For instance, my foot size ranges from 12-14 depending on brand. Unless you have to have Nikes for the status (and customization), you'll be paying a premium for that Swoosh and could find better value elsewhere. I'm not saying that Nikes aren't great products, because the mid- to high-end models are excellent, but the lower-end ones should be avoided.
I just picked up a pretty sweet pair of Asics because my girlfriend is doing the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - which is a marathon on the first day and half marathon on the second - and decided that the training is now a "we" activity. My New Balances had never failed me before but after putting in a few 10-mile walks I felt like my foot was broken. Went to Dick's and tried on a bunch of different shoes before deciding on Asics Air Nimbus 14's (bought online and saved a few bucks). I feel like a jackass for paying that much for sneakers but I really can feel the difference.
If you don't plan on doing a lot of running, Merrills are the best. You can't kill the things and they're super comfortable.
I like these. Just got em, feel great. LunarFly 2+ Breathe. I like the green.
@NlGHTCRAWLER: I am sure you have seen this. http://teamcoco.com/video/scott-kid-cudi-mescudi-has-greatest-shoes-ever
Adidas Sambas or Adistar Racers are great shoes. I own two pairs of Sambas (one in black, one in white), and just got a pair of Adistar Racers in bright yellow which are supposed to be delivered to my house tomorrow. Quite excited.
You could always go for something goofy/awesome like a pair of Reebok Pumps. I'm toying with the idea myself.
And seriously, check out Vibram Fivefingers (yes I am that guy. I own 3 pairs of them). They're insanely comfy and amazing for working out.
Here's my new Adidas. They're nice and bright. I used to wear too much black clothing so I now buy only colourful stuff.

It's just my opinion, but these should be two different pairs. If you're going to be doing some serious running, get some serious running shoes. But for the love of god, don't wear them with jeans or anything else. Nothing looks worse, imo.
Though if you just need some shoes that are versatile enough to look good with a casual outfit, while also being flexible enough to be pretty active in, there's plenty to choose from. I'm leaning toward getting some Onitsuka Tigers, because they look awesome, and sound awesome.
I'm a security guard who has to stand all day, and I found that after I switched to my New Balance shoes I had a lot less foot problems. They're also perhaps the sturdiest and nicest looking shoes I've had in a long time. One of the only pairs of shoes I could find that doesn't sparkle other than dress shoes, boots, or converse.
Cortez are the most comfortable shoes ever in the history of shoes.
Edit: Here is a link, they come in tons of colors. Me, I prefer the black with white but they have something for everyone.
While we're on the topic, I got these shoes last week. They absolutely scratched up my ankle. The price I pay for trying to bring camo back.

I want these sooo bad :(
Why? Do they do something amazing to offset how ugly they are?
Yes. They light up.
Nike Pegasus (they should be at like 27 now?). I walk every where with those and I have ran 2 marathons with those shoes along with shorter fast distances so I highly recommend these shoes (plus they aren't that expensive compared to most other quality running shoe)!
@skittles: @bchampnd: If you are using the store to try shit on... buy the shoes there if they have what you want. Don't be that guy. Ask for a price match if you can't stomach the price difference.
Also I agree on two pairs. Running shoes and walkin' around shoes are best as dedicated to the task. You can certainly get something decent for both but I prefer having dedicated running shoes.
I also wear cowboy boots on most days so I may not be a reputable source :)
