Needing closure

It's been more than four years now, and i think it's time to own up to my shame. In November of 2004, I witnessed a murder. And I never told anyone. Not the courts, not the family, not my friends. And I didn't tell any of them what I had seen, because I knew the victim had been gay. I didn't know him personally, but as he was my neighbor it was hard not to notice. The killer walked. After four years of beating myself up about it, I've decided to share my story, more for my sake than anyone else's. Go ahead and bash me, I just want to know how immoral I really am.
