@mooncheese114: How are we supposed to provide helpful advice on a name when we don't have any specs? Tell us a bit about your new addition.

#13 Posted by FritzDude (2279 posts) -

I usually choose the initials for the operatingsystem, then the PC model / MB behind - exempli gratia W7Z77 - but I guess you want a real name. How about Dave-PC?

@ShaggE: I'm changing my pc's name to The Mutherfucking Milk Truck right now.

NicksPC is mine. It's the best name because my name is Nick and it's my PC.

I named by computer something very similar the last time I reformatted. I still regret it.

I just looked up my computer's name:

  • VIN_D1ESEL

I once met a guy in Rome named "Rex Fistington." Does that help?

I know it's probably kind of lame but I use bands that I really like.

My computer's name is Detective Riggs and my wallpaper is Mel Gibson from Lethal Weapon.

I guess I don't have any suggestions really but for reference my gaming PC is mars because it's my escape. My laptop is marvin because it's usually separated and rarely used to its full potential. My work PC is well.. my work username.. first initial last name.

I called mine 'Charlotte', I felt it was an appropriate name for an AI. I was channelling some the the Red Queen vibe from Resident Evil.

Because I'm oh-so-creative, my PCs have been named HAL9000 and GLADOS. I will probably call my next one Multivac.

You're asking us to be creative for you? Just pick a normal name. Or you can name it Aaaron to screw over anyone who named it Aaron thinking it'd be first alphabetically.

Yup, you want something like this so you can identify it over a network.

Ah, a nice build. Sounds like a 'Jessabelle' to me. I like to think that Nvidia rigs are female.

#48 Posted by mlarrabee (3031 posts) -

I always go with Sheila.

It does make it confusing when streaming media, though.

What... uh... what does that say about mine? I'm jumping the ATI boat and going back to Nvidia... am I performing the equivalent of a gender reassignment?

Big Jeffery, obviously.

EDIT: Seriously.
