The last radiohead album I heard was I think Ok Computer or whatever it was called. It was a stunning downer and put me off listening to any Radiohead material since then. Might give this one a go, see what i've been missing.
I am so beyond excited about this. I went and posted a thread without even looking, I texted all my friends who are fans, I posted a link to it on my Facebook. I'm basically dying right now. My eyes were actually watery a bit earlier. This is so like them, announcing an album 5 days before release with no advertising. Love them. Best band in the history of music.

Umm, they are? They still make amazing music, unlike most other bands who drift away. You may not like them but every single one of their albums, save for Pablo Honey (huge exception), were amazingly well received critically and by fans.
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean they're not still "relevant" to crowds they cater to.

They proved with In Rainbows that they could pull it off, and that was free. They are going to pull this off and it's paid, I know they will.
Newspaper Edition is mine... I can wait a few extra months and enjoy the digital to ensure I give my favorite music act of all time as much as I can. I was hoping for the new album by at least June, but am thrilled that it was similar to Greenwood's claims that they were "really close" to having it done back in October. This rules!

Rationalize, schmazionalize. I'll keenly admit to pirating music. I also buy music. Sometimes I may even do both for the same piece of music. Radiohead however thoroughly excite me about throwing money at them for a variety of reasons. Kinda like being a Whiskey Media member

I was so excited when I heard about the new album this morning. Immediately pre-ordered the Newspaper edition with the vinyl lps even though I don't own a record player lol. Probably the most exciting part for me is no mention of a tracklist, so it will really be a surprise on Saturday (though I have a few guesses about what songs might be on there).
@Chabbs0: So do you regularly re-visit threads and keep trolling more than once? Or are you just that bored? If you don't like Radiohead, gtfo of a Radiohead thread.
