FINALLY! The opening game is played at 2:30 am here, so I'm unsure whether or not to sleep for a few hours, just stay up or record it and watch it while I'm eating breakfast tomorrow.

Anyway, this season should be really exciting, hoping my Seahawks will go all the way this year, but I have my doubts.

Go Hawks!

So excited for football season to start. I have been thinking about what to have for snacks on Sunday since last week. This is... serious business. :)

Oh, and the obligatory team cheer... Go Pats!

GO Broncos! The last time The Ravens came to town it didn't end well for us, here's hoping we run a boat race on 'em this time.

This is karma for my awesome Tony Romo pic. Jerry Jones has 1.39 billion to spend on a stadium for his garbage team, he must be able to control the weather in Colorado.

A lot of analysts think the Seahawks will do good this year, so surely that means they'll stink it up all season.

I find it impossible to watch football without the Red Zone Channel, that is a game changer in watching the NFL. Also over the past few years I've lost interest in the sport. Might have to do with my Jets being absolute garbage the past few years but as a whole....just not enough of a break to actually miss the sport. The NFL is covered so much in the media that I watch and listen to that by the time the season starts I usually just don't give a fuck.

That was the worst game in Baltimore Ravens franchise history. That is crazy.

And it all started with Wes Welker dropping a pass. And Ray Lewis retiring and Ed Reed going to Houston.

Beating the Raiders by 4 points at home is the equivalent of losing to an actual football team. I'm not at all happy with that week one performance for my Colts. Maybe we all underestimated the Raiders, or maybe the Colts are destined for a 6 to 8 win season. I dunno; week one is weird.

Also WTF Steelers?

Not exactly the easy win I was expecting from the Patriots but I'll certainly take it.

Not good that they basically stopped trusting Ridley and took him out

Having Sunday Ticket from Madden 25 Anniversary edition was great! Some pretty good games today. I'm a Ravens fan, so it was nice for the Steelers to lose. Too bad the Patriots couldn't suffer the same fate (still played poorly). Finish to the Jets game was nice.

Also, this was entertaining:

Some really dumb mistakes by football players from what I've seen. The Cincy DE who got flagged at the end to allow Chicago to gain the first and prevent the Bengals from getting the ball back at the end. Just finished catching the end of the Jets vs. Bucs game and the linebacker who got a flag to put the Jets in field goal position, wow.

Now catching the Packers vs. 49ers game go Packers! Want to see if Capers can truly contain Kaepernick and the read-option.

EJ looked great against the Pats. Liked his movement and accuracy. Seemed like he was always finding wide open guys. Would have liked to see them start off with a win but I think they can pick up 8-9 this year easy. They just boned up the clock management in the fourth.

And holy shit, does someone want to tell Kaepernick that he only has 40 seconds to snap the ball? Seems like whenever I watch him he has at least 1 delay of game and uses up a bunch of timeouts because he can't snap the damn ball. Also damn Clay Matthews is a beast.

Now, it's time for the real deal. Let's go G-Men. Time for 5-0 in Jerryworld with a brief break to watch Breaking Bad.

Everyone spent the summer trying to figure out how to beat the read-option, and San Francisco spent the summer throwing it out.

Sloppy first game, but good to see them pull out the win. Could've gone either way.

As an FSU fan I am fucking baffled that we have two starting alums QBs right now in the NFL, and in 3-4 years there will likely be 3. Baffling.

Also that Pats didn't deserve to win that game, literal charlie brown football moment at the end of that game. Glad to see Andy Dalton's improving despite 2 picks.

Holy crap, this night game is pretty clownshoes... Does either team really want to win here? They're both trying really hard to lose.

I shouldn't talk though. My Pats were just bad today, they got a lucky win. My husband said it was the type of win that the Pats always get that makes the rest of the NFL fans hate them. I can't say I disagree with his assessment.

WARNING ANTI-COWBOYS TIRADE:

Fuck Jerry Jones, fuck Tony Romo, fuck Jason Witten, fuck Miles Austin, fuck Jason Garrett, and most importantly fuck Cowboys fans. Fuck your stupid franchise and fuck "America's" team. Yeah, it's America's team, just not in the country capital, the most populated city, and the fifth most populated city. You know, unimportant places when deciding the team to represent America. Fuck another week of people defending Tony Romo and Jason Garrett and saying "this is their year." Fuck David Wilson too.

And it's not like next week will be any better. Peyton just doesn't make those mistakes in the regular season. We'll stop their run okay, but we can't cover Welker, Demaryus, and Decker, and possibly Julius Thomas.

Maybe we can pick up McGahee to help at running back. We did have some injuries in that game so hopefully things will improve down the stretch.

I don't know why the 49ers didn't even try Quinton Patton in that game. As far as I can tell, he is destined to be a superstar.

Alright dudes week ain't over. Who's ready for some Monday Night Football on ESPN! On tap we have

Eagles - Washington Redskins at 4 pm PST

Texans - Chargers at 7:15 PST

First game I'm probably more intrigued with, you have the debut of Chip Kelly and his supposed High Flying College Offense through the arms of Michael Vick. I'm also wondering if this team will hold it together with the whole Riley Cooper racial slur thing that happened earlier this year. Will players be specifically targeting Cooper throughout the game? On the DC side the big question is if RGIII will hold up and is he really back or will Shanahan be out of the job before the end of the season. All I gotta say for DC fans out there is don't sleep on Kirk Cousins I think hog nation will be just fine.
