Oklahoma City Bombing

15 years ago, a bomb went off on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City.
 

As an Oklahoman with family all over this state, that day was hell for me. I remember it being weeks before they could get all the names of the victims out there, and what toll that had on my family. I was only 11 when it happened, so it wasn't so much a thing to me then (all I could focus on was the 'cool' explosion), but looking back on it, that is a day that will never and should never escape the minds of anyone.

I had never heard of this until I saw it on the wikipedia front page today. The ending of the video is a bit confusing as 4 people were caught. One received immunity, one was executed, one was sentenced to life and the last one got twelve years.
 
Oh well, conspiracy nutjobs have a tendency to forego all logic and reason.

Sad thing is were headed down an all too similar path with crazy militias trying to justify their actions with Christianity who are anxious to get the end of days and other awful people.

The first thing I think, People need to remember that "terrorists" aren't just foreign, and going through this thread it seems that American Kids need to get taught their basic modern history,  
I'm in New Zealand and I know about that incident, 

Wasn't Arlington Road sort of based off of this incident as a what might happen if it was in DC?

What Christian groups? Are you sure they are Christians? They might say they are, it doesn't make them. I'm pretty sure the terrorists said they were nice people too. "

I have only heard of this from watching Bowling for Columbine, where they briefly have an interview with Timothy McVeigh's friend i believe it was? Such a tragedy though.

So in commemoration of Oklahoma City, here have some internet knowitalls casting aspersions on Christians and America for some fucking baffling reason. Good work guys.

Who would've guessed that less than 10 years later, America would be hit with a much worse incident that cost the lives of who knows how many Americans.
