Orchestrated Videogame Music

I’m starting to get into orchestrated music.  Not just any orchestrated music, videogame orchestrated music!!  I never knew how orchestrated music can sound so good.  I made a blog a month ago that had orchestrated videogame music, and posted some of the music here and there in different blogs.

Here’s a recap on what songs I posted in the past that are completely orchestrated.  First, here is the blog I posted a month ago.  Of course, I can’t accept all the credit, because users like you that help contribute to my topics through the comments, makes all the material readable, worthwhile, enjoyable, and fulfilled!  I always love to see something different as well as others who read the topics and contributions! :D

The Halo theme played by an orchestra is the most epic thing ever.

CL60: You saw it in the other blog?  I agree that the Halo theme on that album was really good.  I got the entire album of Videogames Live on my Zune! :D

Where's my Mass Effect theme!?!?!?!?!?

I was really surprised how good the Mass Effect score was. They could have gone with some non-descript orchestral piece that doesn't stand out, but they went for a unique tonal experience. It's slightly reminiscent of John Murphy's Sunshine score, and that was exactly the feeling the game needed.

Sir_Ragnarok: You know Volume 1 of Video Games Live is for sale and availible on different market places - Ipod and Zune.

if you turn off the radio in fallout 3, there really is some amazing music in that game

You are not alone (Final Fantasy IX)

The oblivion one makes me feel all tingly in my stomach. Also, that gusty gardens one is mildly freaking amazing. I never really paid attention to the music in Galaxy, but perhaps I should have if they were like that.
