Paper Reports Moon Landing was a Hoax. Their Source: The Onion

A Bangladeshi newspaper reported that the Apollo 11 moon landing was fake. The paper said that Neil Armstrong did an interview where he stated that the moon landing was an elaborate hoax. The newspaper's source for this accusation? THE ONION. Not realizing that The Onion is a satirical and comedy news website, the Bangladeshi paper receive a huge influx of letters and comments pointing out the paper's mistake and questioning its journalistic credibility. When the error was pointed out the paper issued this apology: 

  "We thought it was true so we printed it without checking... We didn't know the Onion was not a real news site. We've since learned that the fun site runs false and juicy reports based on a historic incident. The Moon landing one was such a story, which received numerous hits on the internet. The truth is that Neil Armstrong never gave such an interview. It was made up. We are sorry for publishing the report without checking the information."

Does anyone here think the moon landing was fake?   I'm making a list of "people whose thoughts and opinions mean nothing" and I'll be happy to add you to it if you think it was fake.

Dang. I'm not sure if admitting to it flat-out is going to help repair the situation one bit. This is kinda like that other new outlet (not sure what it was off the top of my head) using footage from LOST sent in anonymously as supposed footage from an actual plane crash.

I'll remember this if you're still around in a short while, give it a few years possibly a decade tops, when the dollar hits the floor and your banking brethren have bankrupted you.
