People with different colored names - Off-Topic

I was just wondering, Soopy and a few others have different colored names.

Why is this?

The different names reflect their 'fanboy' alignment.

Blue is sony, green is Microsoft, Red is Nintendo.

I think it depends on what your chose as fanboy when you signed up for the account. So if you chose Microsoft it would be green. And blue for Sony. At least I think.

When you signed up you were asked what kind of 'fanboy' you are - what ever you picked is what determines what color your name will show up.

I selected neutral, and I'm still white.

The whole world is now placing me in a damn box, mislead into thinking I'll back the PC to the bloody end. If I get shoebombed I'm totally suing Giantbomb.

I'm Nintendo so if my name isn't red that theory is incorrect.

Hmm, names aren't colored in the threads but they are in the thread list.

In your My Profile section, click Edit My Profile on the top right - the option to change it is there.

I chose Neutral even though I only play on PC. I just don't want people to look through my profile and assume I'm a straight out PC fanboy when it comes to discussions/arguements.

Yeah I picked PC and got White, I want PC to be Orange, that is a nice color.

Color system is neat, but the only colors I usually see are green(360).

I love this color coded system to show where that person stands on different game companies; Now if I see someone will a colored name, I can disregard whatever they say :-)

Red = Mario
Green = XBOX logo
Blue = Playstation 2 logo?

Red Green Blue is typically what distinguishes them on sales charts people make too I suppose.

Then you're neutral, and your name shows up as White.

I think PC should have a different color than neutral if it does not already.

PC should be pink or orange, whilst neutral should stay white IMO.

Is it a good sign that the vast majority of names are white?

As for colour names, the Nintendo logo has been Red before. But, there isn't really a specific colour for Nintendo. The Gamecube was purple, but Mario's red, and their logo always changes colour. But now the Wii's blue, but the console is white. Aaargh.

But PC orange? Now can someone explain that to me?

That is a very good observation. i mean I knew about green Microsoft, n' blue Sony- but I had no Idea about red Nintendo. Nintendo should be.. I don't know.. Um.. yeah well- there is only red left from the main colors.

PC is orange, it's just a glitch that makes it the same colour as people who selected "neutral", it will be fixed soon.
