The problem is if you're accused of any sex offense and your name is in that list, you're boned. The same if you are in politics or in any other media exposed profession, and the information of the inclusion in that list gets out. Good luck explaning if you're in the wrong side of the argument.
My biggest worry here isn't that they are blocking porn but the fact they refer to it rather vaguely as "family-friendly filters". That could potentially cover a hell of a lot of things. Suddenly you can't watch any trailers or gameplay footage of a hell of a lot of games because they are rated 15+ and not family friendly. Yaaaaaay.

When I hit puberity, I stole so much porn form a trainstation news stand, it got a mention in a daily newspaper - supposedly t'was youth gang crime. Yes - I had a lot of sexual energy gone awry. Never got caught anyways.
I wouldn't care. It's not the same thing, but I lived in an apartment complex once that offered a similar opt-in porn channel through their own cable service. Only thing was you had to go in to the office and sheepishly tell the 20 year old receptionist girl that you wanted it. I didn't care. I'm a red-blooded male. What do people fucking expect? As far as the Big Brother shit, fuck it. We're already on the slippery slope. I don't see this making much of a difference.
What happened to kids being the responsibility of the parents? Its great that there cracking down on illegal porn, but honestly kids will be kids. I know we had dirty magazines when i was a kid, they were stuffed in a cooler we buried in the woods along with the fireworks and lighters we hid from our parents, those were some good times.
I know people will find a way around this BS, relatively easily... but I still gotta say. So glad I don't live in the UK right now, I really can't even begin to explain to you how glad I am.
