How much protein is too much protein? I've got protein powder + weight gainer and I know too much protein is not a good thing.  I do light work outs daily, if it matters. Im 5'6, 16 and 120 pounds.

The protein is 25g per dose I beleive, and the weight gainer is 19g per dose. (I call it dose, not sure what to call it? :P).  So 44g of protein + the meals I eat per day, should it be good? I heard it's around 0.75-1.00g per kg of body weight, so by that I should be good enough right?

"gaining weight" is never really a goal you should set for yourself. What you want to do is build muscle, which is entirely different (although they have the same effect). Protein will definitely help that along, as it builds muscle. If you're around 120 pounds, you could take a second weight gainer dose and be around your expected level as long as you exercise regularly.

I like that. "health people"...
I'm probably wrong, but I think protein goes right through your system if you get too much, kind of like vitamin C.

well taking it is not going to do much for you if you want to gain muscle you need to also lift weights about 3 times a week not everyday. if you do it every day then you are just going to hurt yourself.  And i would say for good measure on the days you do workout run about a 1 1/2 - 2 miles so you can also build muscle in your legs.

That's cardio, not building for your legs. But that's getting into workout plans.

Do you have one of those, OP?

...

THIS is why you shouldn't go about making decisions like this alone.

anyway, I've got to go.

I would recommend talking to someone at your local gym.
