ok, So I messed around with my ITOUCh before plugging it in to my charger when I first got it.  and than I plugged it in last night so it could get a full charge. Now, Ive been using WIFI and watching videos on youtube for about 2 hours now, and its already at 20 percent. Keep in mind I have brightness set all the way up. It says im suppsoe to be able to get 5 hours of life if Im using wifi and videos and stuff, but im only getting about 2. Is my bettery defective? or should I have charged it all the way first before messing with it?

Lower the brightness.  Also, how weird it sounds though, you get better batterylife after a weeks usage.

@Von:

IF I lower it to about halfway, should I be able to get proper battery life?

It should get better after a while. Using certain applications will drain the battery life faster than others.

A good example is the game Tap Tap Revenge 2. I started playing the game at 100% battery life and after 3 songs I was done to 10%

No player should ever do that, maybe go to an apple store (If you aren't too embarrassed) and ask them to check it out for you.

Wi-Fi chews a lot of power.  These things only last a while when you just use one application, but fiddling around with it, as it is new, will just seem to drain it.  That being said, it doesn't have brilliant battery life, but most electronics don't.

Nothing is going to last as long as the one who sells it says. They call it business, there is probably a star somewhere that leads to a lecture where they say ''at its lowest brightness'' or something.

Highest brightness is unnecessary and probably you're main problem when combined with Wi-Fi, Video, or any type of game.
