Quitting Cold Turkey! No more energy drinks!

Yeah, I know, this is crazy talk, right? As so many, if not all of you, listen to the Bombcast, I'm sure a lot of you drink energy drinks. I know they're great and all, but it was at the point where I had one everyday and became Zombified if I didn't get my daily dose of Guarana and Taurine. So, have any of you had to quit drinking energy drinks because it became a problem like I have? If so, tell me some of your replacement drinks or methods to help stay clean.

Good look with that. I could never stop drinking them all together, I just cut back on them.

I don't like energy drinks. I think they taste like crap.
Also, I don't want that much sugars and such in my body. Has anyone ever read the back of one of those? Ugh. Ill stick with my trusty good ol coffee

I've never actually drank an energy drink.

Good luck with that, I can't see myself quitting energy drinks. Expect some frequent headaches the first few days though.

I stopped drinking soda over a year ago. And I do have more energy now.

It's not that hard cutting energy drinks if you replace them with soda or some fruit drink for a while.  Cutting Mountain Dew is what's hard for me, just drinking water seems too boring (ignoring alcohol in this topic).

I think its too late for me because i'm already zombiefied =)

O gawd....well....my sis went to sam's club (bulk shopping store) to buy a few...err...boxes of monster because we were running low, but they didnt have as much monster in stock that she wanted so sam's club place a special order to get more from the giant place they get all their stuff and when she went to pick it up a few days later and she got home......we opened the boxes and in one of them there was a jar of freaking monster flavored condoms...all the condoms even had the little green M sign like on all the Monster drinks heehee"

I cant function properly without my daily dose of whatever the **** is in those things. I don't feel guilty for it either considering the rest of the people my age are getting stoned and drunk every weekend...

Never drank a sip in my life. Obvious it's not good for health.

I'm down from 2-3 NOS a day to 1-2 a day on the weekend only

I can live without energy drinks, but I can understand your pain as you go through this. 
  
My energy drink intake is only on a "damn, I'm gonna need an energy drink in the morning" type of thing. So I usually have only a few a month total...

I've always hated the taste of all energy drinks, but last night I was in CVS with my friends and I saw a coffee flavored Monster and HOLY CRAP I am hooked on that now.

I can honestly say that I've never tried one. Honestly. It just seems like a waste of cash, and a great way to stay unhealthy.

I save them for special occasions of exhaustion. I can't imagine having one everyday...

Energy Drinks suck, but I drink a lot of pop I don't know if that's any better for you.

I haven't had a soda in like three years... I drink water all the time now. Nowadays I find soft drinks and energy drinks repulsive, honestly. Yuck.

Just go cold turkey. I usually drink water, in the mornings or at night when i am a little out of it i make a cup of tea.

 
I quit drinking energy drinks long ago, I'll stick to my orange pekoe(sp?) tea thanks you.

I personally have never seen the appeal of energy drinks. They're hecka expensive, bad for you, and taste mediocre.

Energy drinks are pretty disgusting, i will have probably one a month, but i always feel like i am destroying my body when i have one.  and then you crash about 3 hours later so it honestly is not worth it, coffee for me.

I don't do energy drinks. I have enough nervous energy as is. A cup of coffee puts me on edge to the point of murder. Stop drinking those things. It stinks to need an artificial lift every day.

Not energy drinks, but I used to drink 5 or so Pepsi's a day. It took a while, about a year, to finally quit drinking it altogether. I replaced it with drinking water and Ginger Ale.

I quit drinking soda and energy drinks altogether when 2010 rolled around for my New Years Resolution.  Wasn't hard at all. If I feel like I need some sort of energy, I might grab a Diet Coke or even better, brew up some tea.  I stopped drinking soda because the amount of calories you consume in one drink alone adds up to the point that you are drinking meals worth of calories.  Plus, being hispanic and family history, diabetes is a very possible disease in my future and have you seen the amount of sugar in one can of soda? Yeah, add it all up, it isn't good. 
 
Soda and energy drinks are terrible and if you go to school today, try to think of the one way you can get to class that doesn't have a vending machine along the way.  Or how it is possible to get 52 oz of soda for a $1.30 at gas stations.   
 
Think about it.  I found that water does just fine and it is a lot easier if you carry your own personal bottle and just fill it up at water fountains as it runs low. It can be done!

Don't drink "energy drinks". Had one a few years back, and it was pretty nasty. I'll stick to regular coke and coffee. It's not like caffeine actually makes me more energetic, anyway. Just keeps the withdrawal headaches away.
