You're rating him knowing he made massive concessions even though his power of reconciliation can stop filibustering. Rate him based on his political posturing during a crisis when people need solutions not empty gestures. And the whole bipartisan charade is absolutely an empty gesture, its a waste of time and he knew it wouldn't amount to anything and now most of congress is in danger because nothing got done.

George Bush (Junior) was not the greatest president Hell I am not even abashed to say he wasn't a very good president but at least when he said he was gonna do something he did it, Obama has done nothing but talk and talk and talk and I don't agree with what he is doing Health care wise or pretty much anything else, I am not opposed to gays getting married - I am all for the legalization of weed - and I could Really give 2 flying shits that Obama is a black man but I do not think his Agenda is where I want to go, Our government is fucked and needs to be fixed But I do not believe he is the answer.

Three for average. You know, I saw a bumper sticker the other day that said "In November 2008, I helped make progress." By 'progress' I assume it was about the fact that we've got a black dude in office. I'm starting to think that he may have been pushed ahead of the repubs because of his 'race.'

Reconciliation only goes so far when he's the one of the more progressive players, and corruption is so widespread. It's a shame the Republicans have decided if they can't have complete power, nothing will get done. It's showing the real flaws in our system. So '5', since the problems aren't really his fault.

The health care plan prioritizes the young over the old. Which, by the book, is a very smart decision. You're saving the lives of productive members of society instead of the ones that leech off of it. But it would appear that Obama has forgotten exactly what country he's the president of. What, with his 'Tsars' and what not. He's met his cabinet the bare minimum amount of times since his election. Instead he relies on his hand-picked Tsars to advise him. The President has a shitload of power in America. I'm just hoping he doesn't abuse that power the wrong way.

3, average. I like some of what he has done, and I certainly agree with him on a good number of issues, but this bi-partisan posturing is unbearable. The Republican and Democratic Parties are in no mood to co-operate, and while I truly believe Obama wants them to, he needs to realise that it's not going to happen.

Just face it, everyone; socialism is NOT the way to go; it will ruin us all. As I said before (just to be made fun of), I am no Republican, but I am certainly no Democrat. I believe giving this government this much power will be the end of us; things would be best if it were possible to take the approach of the government system back to its roots. By doing this, a lot of corruption and other issues will be delayed for at least some time. Too bad everything is going to be terrible again once the country comes back around and reaches the point it's at now.
3. I'm expecting much more out of him, but he seems to have his eggs in order so I'm hoping we'll see stuff done in 2010. *facepalm* you realize that every president since world war II has had Czars right? Bush had them. Clinton had them. Nixon had them. Reagan had them. It seems like they only come up when a liberal is in office and the right needs to find something to criticize.
I try not to follow politics much, so I should've given him a three. But I gave him a two because all I hear about him is how much my parents complain about him.
