Reset Your Twitch Passwords!

So apparently there has been some unauthorized access to some account info on Twitch. Figured I would make a topic on here to help spread the word.

I think it's the first password i've had to change in 2015.

So far this year has been going alright.

Again? I hope the passwords were hashed and salted.

It's not a day on the internet without having to scramble to change passwords. Its nice that its a forced reset at least.

I like my passwords with salt AND pepper.

I guess Twitch is overloaded with reset requests right now. I have requested two password reset emails hours ago and they still haven't shown up. Maybe I'll try tomorrow, it's not like I use that password for anything else anyway.

@mb: I only recently got the email telling me there was a problem. But earlier today I tried to log in and it prompted me to change my password and sent me the appropriate email. So try logging in and maybe then you'll get the email you need.

@finaldasa: Yeah, I tried. No dice. I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

The scary thing isn't the password, it's everything else they get, like your IP address. I assume I didn't put my real info there, it's confusing as a grown up now having to enter real info for certain things like linked in where as in the good old days, all accounts were 04/20/1969 from 90210 named Max Power, etc. Even the email used on early high school job applications was some ridiculous RogueWolfKing2k(year) stereotypical nonsense.

I don't even know what email I used for this. My PS4 just is auto signed in.
