Your wife (sorry for hetro women and gay men but it doesn't really work for you) is having a baby and the doctor can only save one.  Who lives and why?

Me, I would never get married nor willingly have kids so it is a bit of a coin toss ;-)

The wife would hate you for the rest of her life for not choosing the baby.

Either way you would end up with horrific guilt which would ruin your life until the point you commit suicide.

How does anyone not choose the second option?  My wife, as much as I love her, does not have my genes in her.  And single dads do get mad pussy.  Ryan would agree with me.

If I had to pick, probably wife, because I can make another child. Also, baby implies newborn, so I wouldn't get to know her as a person yet really. It does sound horrible but if I had no other choice...

Having to take care of my own flesh and blood alone wouldn't work out well for me, the kid, or Earth.

I would say the baby because I think that's why my wife would want anyway. Especially her given the whole "mother-offspring" relationship. That's what I would want if I was the other choice and she was the chooser.

I'd save the kid. Just as long as you don't become a drunkard or a pussy, they should grow up fine.
Or at least that's what movies and family sitcoms tell me.

It's gotta be the wife. That's who you have all the emotional attachment to unlike the baby. And yeah, you could always just have another child, or 8....

Obviously the baby. 

Saving the woman is standard medical practice if both have equal chances of surviving, so I went with that.

Save the wife, and convince her that if she tries to have another baby it will also die.

I'd take my wife's choice into consideration(since, you know, it involves her life) but I'd most likely save my wife, barring she doesn't threaten to kill herself or something if I don't choose to save the baby.

Be smart don't get married or have kids.... LOL

I would save my significant other. Babies are replenishable.

I would say the baby as I would think my wife would want him or her to live even if she were to die.

I guess I'd go with my wife but then again the incident will probably put a shadow on our relationship that we'd never fully recover from.
