dudeglove got more and more drunk as the show went on. Also, I thought Jazz was going to reach through his modem and punch someone in the throat. I heard an apology but have no idea what it was for. Well, I just wasted two hours, hope you fucks are happy.

Edit

Okay I feel bad. It was a good show. The sound quality was better than the last one.

And now we all know more about semi-obscure Russian movies and super injunctions.

@Abyssfull:  When are you coming on the cast already?

I think that's an accurate description of my mood by the end of that.
I'm thinking of just not talking about the games i played, cause nobody else plays them so its more of a monologue than anything else and as Ben accurately typed at the time it feels like the longest part of the show. I may do something like Jeff did with the Nintendo downloads.
Also Pokemon makes me want to punch people in the throat anyway...

Didn't you pay attention to the train brochure scene? It's totally gonna be Hong Kong.

Wow, I am listening to people talk about Nightwatch on a podcast. Is this happening.

#21 Posted by Example1013 (4834 posts) -

I want to listen, but I haven't seen Thor or Fast Five. And I'm not risking any spoilers.

#22 Posted by beej (1674 posts) -

Shit, I paid you good money to not talk about the time I showed you my super injunction.

@HS21: You broke the spoiler things. Unless that was the point?
#25 Posted by HS21 (2682 posts) -
@example1013: They'll work once you see those movies. Deadglove and HD are fucking talking about Eurovision. When Jazz comes back to life I'm sure he'll join in. God help us.

@HS21: Alright then.
#27 Posted by ThatFrood (3373 posts) -

I'm just gonna listen and write opinions as they come to me.

The "the rock is such a badass cop he catches them, but he respects them so much he lets them go" line killed me. As did the revelation that Dmitry Ghlukovsky interpreted for Vin Diesel.
Oh wow, holy hell, this was one of the most drunk dudegloves in recent memory.
Fuck yes Jazz, Valhalla Rising is so good. I loved it so much. You should watch Aguirre The Wrath of God, Valhalla Rising takes a lot from it.

And hs21 you didn't like Witcher 1 :[
How is DA2 still enjoyable for you, and yet Witcher 1 is bad.

Alright this is where Witcher 1 fell apart for me. Around Act 2 and 3 when they try to do the whole detective thing while sounding awesome on paper just resulted in quest logs that basically said, "Walk here talk to him, walk here talk to her, walk back to me and report what you've learned, walk somewhere else and talk to him". This got even worse in Act 3 when you had to deal with the whole, Alvin/Shani/Triss bullshit of walking back and forth between. Write them a fucking letter I'm a Witcher not the mailman!
The reason DA 2 held my interest more than Witcher 1 was because in between all the walking back and forth through duplicated dungeons the combat was still fun (When set to hard difficulty) and the dialogue was still good which is the only area that Bioware can't do wrong it seems. Combat in Witcher 1 was insanely easy and very boring, it was basically a quick time event.

Witcher 2 seems set to fix all the problems I had with the first game though, no more "Fed Ex" missions and combat that looks like it'll be a lot of fun. Those two things are my biggest gripes concerning the first game. Speaking of DA 2 I should beat that before the 17th... I'm pretty sure I'm almost done.  Saying I hated Witcher 1 is too harsh, I really liked the setup and the world but the combat and quest structure really dragged it down for me. Witcher 1 and DA 2 are both pretty flawed games with a good RPG hiding somewhere under themselves. Funny how the Witcher's sequel is improving the game mechanics while DA 2 felt like it took five steps back.

HS21 your opinions suck. I liked The Witcher "1" better than the first Dragon Age Origins. I tried the Dragon Age 2 demo and said no thank you. Seeing as the combat for the The Witcher is more like Diablo, I probably would have liked that game too. I found the combat in Dragon Age Origins kind of tedious and super boring. It took all I had to finish that game. I tried another character, but of course, I got bored and quit.

I'm just kidding about your opinions sucking. You know I love you.

#30 Posted by HS21 (2682 posts) -
@Claude: I got Origins on release and finished it weeks before the sequel came out. Then I forced myself to finish Witcher 1 because the sequel looks awesome. RPGs, am I doing it right? :p

Not bad, maybe I could learn something. YOU WIN!!! Why? Because my PC probably can't run the The Witcher 2. Fuuuuuuuuuu
#32 Posted by HS21 (2682 posts) -
@Claude: Apparently it runs decently well on an 8800 so maybe you can. If not just watch those two midgets hugging again, that's pretty much the game.

8800, I might be around that. I'm too embarrassed to mention my specs, but I'm going to wait a while before I even think about buying The Witcher 2. Being a PC only game, I'm sure people will voice there opinions on how well it plays on their rigs. L.A. Noire should hold me over for a while until that happens.
