Honestly, theres going to be people there that i don't really care for. And i don't wish to talk to them. Its not going to be a big wedding or anything, not 100% fancy. But i don't really care about going to the wedding and i may half to work that night. I told my brother because he said It was up to me to be the best man. But now he's saying i gave him late notice. Well, his About to be Wife told me She may never speak to me again if i don't go. Problem is, She never really speaks to me regardless, and the soon to be inlaws Act all weird. Your thoughts? i feel like he may resent me for it, but that's childish if you ask me.

Go and bare with the people you don't like and your soon-to-be-inlaws.  You'll regret it if you don't go to a very important event in your brother's life.

#9 Posted by Scheds (464 posts) -

Definitely go man, it'll be a major day for your whole family!

#10 Posted by Alex_Murphy (1184 posts) -

It depends on how good you get along with your brother I guess. Are they going to have an open bar? If so you could go just to get wasted and make a fool of yourself hitting on all the girls there before passing out in the bushes outside.

#11 Posted by Toxin066 (3288 posts) -

He's family. You definitely should go.

#12 Posted by BroMagnon (31 posts) -

OK, I'm about to make this easy for you.  If it's an open bar, go.  Because free liquor is always fantastic.  If it's not an open bar... go anyway.  It's your fuckin' brother, dude.

You don't even have a choice about it.  Also, don't try to use work to miss it, call in sick if you have to.

Are we missing some history here or something...?  If your brother didn't kill you as an infant, which, I suppose he didn't, you should go.

Your suppose to go to your family's wedding if you know that or not. Go there and don't say anything, once the wedding is over, don't talk to your brother again.

Ok, to play devil's advocate, since the OP has obviously abandoned this thread... What if... the bride to be is evil and eats small children... okay, yeah, I suppose you should still go, but I would warn my brother of her eating habits.

You could do what I did at my sisters wedding. Get so shit faced drunk the night before that you are still drunk the day of and I like my brother in law and all the people at that wedding.

#34 Posted by RichardLOlson (1852 posts) -

Fuck I went to my brothers wedding and I regretted it till this very day.  I mean for starters he married a complete retard and someone with a silver spoon up her ass.  And it just wasn't what I wanted to do at the moment.....I mean sure we went to florida for his wedding, but I had to stick with them  (family) and wasn't really a loud to go out and do shit that I wanted to do.  I mean I was the only single person there....and I want to go get some puss puss.

#35 Posted by artofwar420 (6289 posts) -

It's your brother right? Do you like him? Do it for him, just a few hours of awkwardness is ok to endure for your brother.

Man you sound like a pussy.  It is your brothers wedding....
"But I dont wannna!!!!!  There are all these mean people there and i dont like the bitch he is marrying and i got work...."
bitch bitch bitch. stop your bitchin and go.  seriously, the only reason you should not go to your own brothers wedding is if you had sex with his bride to be and beat her to death after and then had sex with her again.  All i see in your post is complaining, so just go.  Dont be a douchebag.

You are going for your brother, no one else. That is extremely disrespectful if you don't go. I don't care what situation it is, It's your fucking brother. Your brother 'el be happy you came and that's what matters.  Don't use work as an excuse not to go. Take the day off.

#48 Posted by Jerr (531 posts) -

Well if your not going, then I am

#49 Posted by ZeForgotten (10397 posts) -

If you don't feel like going, don't.
If you wanna go, go..
It's that simple, amazing, right?

Why are you even asking this questions.  It's your brother's wedding, one of the biggest days of his life.  Of course you should go.  You NEED to go.
