Sure if you're a Mexican, but a sunny side egg, or peanut butter would be.

Went to the local burger place across the street with my roommate yesterday; he got a burger and added a fried egg and salsa to it. Said it was delicious.

Do with this information what you will.

#6 Posted by Arbie (1449 posts) -

Yeah do it. Heck, do what @ajamafalous: said too.

Hey isn't it getting cold?

#7 Edited by Deadmanforking (578 posts) -

Sure! Salsa is good! Burger is good! COMBINE!

#8 Posted by Stonyman65 (2767 posts) -

Yeah sure. Sounds good.

Also, salsa on scrambled eggs (or an omelet) is great too.

No, you weirdo.

#10 Posted by indieslaw (355 posts) -

I guess onions/lettuce/tomatoes make it into most people's burgers anyway. You can do it, but I won't.

I never really thought about it, but that sounds kind of kickass.

Bonus points if you make your own burgers with some good chunky salsa mixed into the patties.

I take offense to this. Because it's true. I am Mexican and I put homemade salsa on my burgers should it be made available.

When I lived in Taiwan, I would often get burgers (and a bacon danbing [kind of like a Chinese breakfast burrito but not really]) for breakfast at a chain called Beautiful and Breakfast. They put fried eggs on their burgers. That tasted great. I like to put salsa on eggs. I say try putting a fried egg and salsa on that burger. I bet it would be awesome. If you decide to not do that then try to find some fry sauce (a condiment popular in Utah) and spread that on the bun like it was mayo.

yes. and try peanut butter sometime. it'll blow your GD mind.

#21 Edited by fox01313 (5087 posts) -

If trying out a new recipe for burgers sure, otherwise just stick with what you like. I'll try it out as it sounds interesting & have some good hot salsa in the fridge but normally just stick with cheese/mayo/ketchup/bacon on my burger choice.

#22 Posted by PenguinDust (12570 posts) -

Ketchup is so passé. Salsa is très magnifique. Bon appétit!

But if you wanna try something really good, cover that burger with chili. Mmm, now that's good eatin'.

#23 Posted by Donkeycow (556 posts) -

No... why would you do that?

#24 Edited by TooWalrus (13240 posts) -

What? No. Are you a professional food fusionist? Don't fuck with this shit.

You should put sriracha sauce on your burger. And your pizza. And your eggs. And in your sandwiches.

Salsa verde, bitch.

Put it on the burger.

#30 Posted by jking47 (1219 posts) -

Sounds good to me

#31 Posted by Sackmanjones (4752 posts) -

Of course not. What are you, some kind of caveman?

#32 Posted by EXTomar (4864 posts) -

Nothing wrong with salsa on a burger. It is the mark of a truly technologically advanced civilization.

#33 Posted by FinalDasa (1912 posts) -

Only if other ingredients are salsa related. Shredded cheese, maybe some guacamole, or even a dab of sour cream.

I am putting salsa on my next burger.

#36 Posted by MooseyMcMan (11336 posts) -

HELL NO!

You know what you put on a burger? Not anything that came from a god damned plant, you communist!

If you mean Salsa in the way of tomato based hot sauce then yes. If you mean Salsa in the way of just any form of sauce then also yes.

Is this question a Euphemism?

#39 Posted by Jensonb (1760 posts) -

Salsa on a burger? That is an unholy abomination and I will have no part in it. It's like pineapple on a pizza, man. Just. Say. No.

#40 Edited by Rainbowkisses (472 posts) -

This thread convinced me to put salsa on my omelette.

#41 Posted by NegativeCero (3014 posts) -

For some reason it never occurred to me that these two should go together.

#42 Posted by kerikxi (542 posts) -

Why the hell not? Salsa is delicious.

#43 Posted by mlarrabee (2999 posts) -

I've done that.

Don't do it.

#46 Posted by Andorski (5345 posts) -

OP better update if he put some fucking salsa on his burger.

#47 Posted by beard_of_zeus (1698 posts) -

This thread convinced me to put salsa on my omelette.

I've done that many times before, it's quite good! But I'm still anti-salsa on burgers. I don't want toppings so easily falling out of my hamburger! May I recommend an egg instead on said hamburger? That's the wave of the future - slowly integrating breakfast into everything!!!

#48 Edited by DallyDoll (180 posts) -

No. Stop. Step away from the burger.

#49 Edited by MeatSim (10902 posts) -

Maybe? Depends on what kind of salsa your using.

#50 Posted by Blu3V3nom07 (4252 posts) -

My next burger, I'm putting salsa! Thanks OP!
