Signatures and Level-ups

Damnit, If we get a sig then I'll have to make another one for myself.

Yea, this place needs sigs. I don't see why they wouldn't add sigs later.

I think it looks better without sigs, nice and clean.

I'd like to have sigs as well, as long as they aren't too big. Some like 600 x 30 or just 2 or 3 lines of text.

Like I said I would like to have sigs, but hidden, so you press a button under the persons post that  says 'Signature', and that displays whatever he has their. So its not intrusive at all..

Text sigs are alright as long as there's a line limit. Image sigs are fucking obnoxious, especially in threads where the same person replies repeatedly. If those get added, there should at least be an option for users to ignore them.

No, I would hate to have sigs on this board, they ruin everything.  They can get obnoxious like denshuu said.

Yeah, I'd love the ability to put in a sig.

Also, leveling up is handled by the still funky point system. I've put in like 10 reviews yet I still have 0 points

I hope they add sigs and levels, it would be nice to have a sig and I can get a new one!

I don't want levels.  Having them promotes losers to dedicate their life to increasing their e-peen.

I really hope they add those.

Sigs are a nice way of recognizing someone. A signature for a person could become very recognizable.

Im hoping for signatures to make and appearance at some point.

Also, a leveling system would be dandy.

I want levels like in GS.  To be honest I think I like it better without sigs... if they do allow them, maybe them very thin.

i think signatures are one of the most important things to distinguish yourself in an open forum like Giantbomb.

The only problem is that people abuse sigs. The either dont space it enough so it blends in with thier post....or have a incredibly long sig that makes the board look bad

If we can't have graphic sigs then I agree give us at least text sigs. Something that can distinguish us from others.

Sigs are unnecessary, they will just clutter things way too much.

I think it's been stated there are currently no plans to add sigs at this time.  That may change in the future, though.

How do I use this as a sig on other forums, it just shows up as text. I want to add my giant bomb achievement bar in my sigs.

meh less sigs means less clutter, saying that sigs are kinda like a international object on every forum so it should be added for those who want the option

Sigs would ruin the site. They do nothing but clutter up forums. You can put all sig related crap in your "About Me" which people can see if they want to see it by pressing See Mini Bio next to your post count in the forums.

But yeah, leveling up would be cool, but isn't needed.

Levels are an ok idea, I honestly wouldn't mind whether they were added or they weren't. However I'm much less in favour of sigs, once you've seen somebody's sig once you've seen it a million times, you know who they are and if you want info on them you can check their profile page; signatures often just get in the way and clutter the place up. I like my Giant Bomb how it currently is, sleek and clean.

When (if) they do bring in sigs I'm sure there will be an option to not display them. When you consider that; there is absolutely no reason against it.

I love not having sigs. Makes the forums much easier to read. You can distinguish yourself with your posts. Really, I don't care about your sig or what's in it.

Bring back the sigs. I miss them and I like em' too!
