Some people use these forums to vent about problems they have in life so here goes . My problem is I am incredibly pessimistic about everything I do .

This has made it hard for me to be motivated about anything as I  feel like it will all end badly.

Having no expectations is a shit way to live .

how about you :)

Change from glass half-empty to glass half-full outlook, I can guarantee you that there are a Billion people who are now worse off than you by the very fact that you have the luxury to post on the Internet.

Now that is a much better way then I would ever put it.

I'm an optimistic but I share an apartment with a guy that complains the whole fucking time. You think things are bad, try listening to a complaint first thing in the morning. ¬¬

So you want some optimism? Google "Cheer up" and take a look at that Demotivator. That's optimism at its finest. Then again, I might be a cruel bastard.

I used to be very pessimistic, just because i was unhappy in life. But then i met my girlfriend and i became older and wiser and i'm a lot more positive nowadays. The negative parts are just a part of life too man, doesn't mean life isn't worth living anymore to see the positive, beautiful, entertaining things too.

I'd offer some help, but it won't fucking help anyway.

Get it? It's a joke.

Did it help? no? I tried. If it makes you feel better, 900$ was just stolen from me and I almost broke my hip this week.

I used to be the same way when I was really pragmatic about everything.  Nothing is wrong with being pragmatic mind you, just that you tend to overlook all the awesome stuff you do in order to get results.

The only way you're guaranteed to fail at something is if you don't even try. Trying and failing >>> not even trying. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there, and also take note that the "aftereffects" of failing won't be as bad as you think the majority of the time.
