Which do you prefer?
I say Pie, if you would say cake then justify yourself heretic!

#2 Posted by Rianor (94 posts) -

Pie all the way man, especially pecan pie!

#3 Posted by Yunvon (122 posts) -

NO NO! CAKE CAKE!!  TEH CAKE IS NOT A LIE!! :(

#4 Posted by Bladefire (214 posts) -

I can't stand pie, I can't eat anything with that consistency. Cake is way more solid.

#5 Posted by elliooo (293 posts) -

There is no escape from the Cake vs Pie debate. It is what makes the internet a bad place, let's all go out and find some new and interesting topics rather than recycling old ones! What a novel idea!

For the good of the site, this thread must die.

#6 Posted by henjin (829 posts) -

I like both, but cake is better. Cheesecake.

CAKE!

But its a lie. :(

#9 Posted by FFJosh (10 posts) -

Cake... unless you consider Pizza to be a "pie."

#10 Posted by Delsaber (198 posts) -

Put your hands together!

#11 Posted by NDAProphet (19 posts) -

Pie, though cobbler is preferred.

#12 Posted by LouChou (458 posts) -

I knew before even approaching this topic that everyone would make a Portal joke... So I will too!

I'll take cake because I like the lie. It adds mystery. Pie is all honest and straight forward. Chicks don't dig that.

#13 Posted by nickystixx (184 posts) -

i like pie. i like it more than cake. pie wins.

#14 Posted by MB (12384 posts) -

I'm so glad there is an off-topic forum for this type of thing.  <3  Not that it matters now, but hopefully such a section will stop the main boards from getting spammed to death with crap.

Cake with less frosting.

#16 Posted by BurgerAndFries (2 posts) -

this is just like the tits vs ass argument. i'll take both.

#17 Posted by Trilleong (80 posts) -

If cake is a lie then I'm never telling the truth!

#18 Posted by SullyBMF (4 posts) -

Why is there even a topic for this? Cake is obviously the true way to go.

#19 Posted by wazzu022 (5 posts) -

Pie is clearly better than cake.  The crust needs to be cooked right though

#20 Posted by Delsaber (198 posts) -

We need Cake/Pie fanboy options in our profile preferences.

Pie! .. Or maybe...

#22 Posted by Absurd (2934 posts) -

Pie, It's so easy

#23 Posted by Begemot (108 posts) -

Why can't I have both? :(

Cake is King

#25 Posted by Locke (330 posts) -

Please, look before you post. I've already seen at least five of these today.

When pie is good, pie is really freaking good. Like pumpkin pie. Or banana cream pie. I say pie.

#27 Edited by Clonedzero (4200 posts) -

Pie by far.

I find with alot of cakes the frosting is a bit overwhelming.

Not to mention pie is far more versatile in flavors and styles. I mean fuck if you wanna be a commie bastard even pizza is technically a pie.

Also nothing is more American than apple pie.

I am mad I didn't post about how awesome pie is....... 4 years ago.

This is obviously the work of the Pie Propaganda Brigade in an attempt to salvage their devastating loss to the Cake Boss and his Cake Baker Mafia.

I'd say that cakes are reliable when it comes to some good dessert and pies have more peaks and valleys, but when that pie peaks... holy shit that's a good pie

Wow look at all the people who only liked this site for about a month and never came back. I mean, output was sparse in 2008, but you'd think people would have stuck around or came back when things picked up and Vinny/Brad joined. To think people came here over Kane and Lynch, but ultimately went back to Gamespot and never checked out this site ever again, after all its become, its crazy.

We should track down these people with less than 50 posts on Gamespot or any other forum theyre on, and fill them in on everything theyve missed, from Chauncy Billups to NEVER to TANG to Persona to 775 to Hot97 to BLLSL to CBSi to PAX to Korea.

Cake. Fuck pie.

Cake by the way.

Man this should have been a poll. THE DEBATE RAGES ON.

And it's pie, duh.

#40 Posted by Spence_5060 (326 posts) -

The answer is obviously cake with all those layers.

#41 Edited by TheManWithNoPlan (5479 posts) -

I'm an equal opportunity dessert enthusiast. Why choose sides?

#42 Posted by Brendan (7805 posts) -

Its a biased comparison to make, because most people simply haven't had very good cake. Good pie is pretty cheap, but a good cake is not your shitty grocery store slab or stock round. For those who have ever tasted actually good, bakery cake, they know its fucking ridiculous.

#43 Posted by Gruebacca (519 posts) -

Let's make this thread more relavent to the present day: would you rather sit on a cake or flush a pie down a toilet?

#44 Posted by PerfidiousSinn (748 posts) -

Pie. Most cake is bullshit. It's just bread caked on with a bunch of overly sweet frosting. So you have to either go into sugar shock eating the only somewhat-decent part or eat a bunch of BS, tasteless bread.

Except for ice cream cake, that's good. But 90% of the time I'd go for pie.

#45 Posted by Nick (666 posts) -

I like pie better.

#46 Posted by Aetheldod (3579 posts) -

Cake wins ... wtf is this question >:3

#47 Posted by MonetaryDread (2030 posts) -

The real question is whether apple crumble counts as pie. If it does count I choose pie. If not, I am going for cake.

The only reason the forums were sparse back then is because everyone was in this thread
also, Pie always wins

#49 Edited by Hunter5024 (5670 posts) -

How is this not a poll? I like Pie. Pie is average stuff filled with awesome stuff. Cake is awesome stuff wrapped around average stuff.

#50 Posted by LackingSaint (1811 posts) -

Cheesecake is technically a cake, so cake wins.
