I haven't seen any new episodes in a long time, but nobody killed him. I would say more, but I don't want to potentially spoil it for anybody. To give you an idea why, the actor (Kal Penn), accepted a job in the White House.

Kutner was the only new member I gave a damn about.  Too bad.

I like Thirteen, but I agree with your sentiment that Kutner was the best.  Taub's a prick, though.
