Stephen Fry Returning for LittleBig PSP
There was no shortage of personality to LittleBigPlanet, with its cutesy sack-folk and the general handmade arts-and-crafts vibe, but out of all of it, the mannered whimsy of actor/comedian/technologist Stephen Fry's narration was one of the defining touches of that game for me personally. Like oh-so many other tragic figures of public interest these days, is a pretty voracious Twitter user, and this morning the extremely British Fry tweeted that he's been recording new voiceover for the upcoming PSP version of LittleBigPlanet, confirming his involvement in the game in less than 140 characters. It's good to hear that they're not just recycling all the old PS3 audio, and Fry's description of a "lush voice-athon" gives some hope that it's a bit more than just revised control directions specific to the PSP. Thanks to Barnaby for the, uh, tweetip.

YES! GiantBomb has a news article on Stephen Fry! YES!
and it's not like how Jeff said "some British guy" last year
I saw this via twitter also.
The amount of voicework Stephen Fry puts into a game or film is relative to my interest in said game or film.
Twitter, twitter, twitter, twitter! Ugh, would this fad die a death already. Its nothing but self-obsessed insecure mongs posting flaffle about shoite as a way to validate their existence or some crap...like that.
The idea is good, but the way its wrapped up in this mawkish blanket of fakeness........just.......ewww.
It would make sense to have him in there again, when he's so good at it.
I saw Mr Fry coming out of a bagel shop in Kensington, I never said hello to him, but I did dip my flat cap to acknowledge him, as you do here.

""What's next Sony? Jeremy Clarkson in Gran Turismo 5?"Aren't they putting the test track from Top Gear in Gran Turismo 5?"God I hope so...
EDIT: From Wikipedia -
"The game will include the Test Track from the BBC motoring show Top Gear, along with Suzuka Circuit, Fuji Speedway, Eiger Nordwand, London City, and Daytona International Speedway."

For any fans of Stephen Fry, he was fantastic as the reader for the Harry Potter audiobooks on the UK side. Jim Dale performed the audiobooks for the US publishers. Personally I prefer Jim Dale's work to Fry's, but both are good. International book publishing is a strange world indeed. For Potter nerds, it may be fun to get ahold of both versions of the first Harry Potter audiobook and give them a listen back to back and see how different the experience is based on who is reading the book for you.
