not to mentiom all the stuff he gets named after him. I think that is the best way he abuses his power as a TV icon, getting stuff named after him, and getting people to vote for stuff he wants. Colbert is just awesome.

i remember when he got his viewers to keep changing the elephant page to say elephant population has increased by 3 times or something like that wikipedia had to lock the elephant page for like a week lol

No, it's just Baghdad. For the last few weeks he has been doing a segment on his show discussing possible locations for his middle-east stop, but he was always going to do the show from one spot.
