Swery style Anime?

Hey, after deciding im done with Destiny I picked up D4 to fill the void until my next game and loved it. I had played Deadly Premonition (brokenly on PC and now going back to Xbox 360 version) but i'm looking for something (probably an Anime im guessing) with a similar tone as either of these games. Any suggestions?

Watch Twin Peaks. Not an anime but whatever.

Perhaps more info about what it is you like about D4 and DP would be helpful.

Cromartie High School is somewhat Swery-esque in its weirdness.

Paprika is somewhat Swery-eske and Lynch-like.

I'm not very familiar with Swery's work, but Steins Gate feature some weird characters and interdimensional science ficiton, which seems to be in the same wheel house as D4.

Thanks for the suggestions all! Watched Twin Peaks back in the day and have been catching up on it again on Netflix. Will check out some of these when time permits and see what scratches that weird itch I never knew I had.

I recommend checking out Suda51's games as they are very similar in their weirdness, especially No More Heroes 1 (his other work is much weirder than anything in SWERY's games or in the case of NMH2 far tamer)

Yeah, anything by Satoshi Kon is like the best parts of Swery taken to genius heights.

Like billymagnum said, Satoshi Kon made Paprika & Paranoia Agent. Both are highly recommended if you're into Swery's style. Also FLCL is a great recommendation as another duder mentioned. FLCL is bat shit crazy.

Twin Peaks basically is just Deadly Premonition the video game with different characters, it's full of Peaks references too.

Arakawa under the bridge is the most swery anime you'll find.
