Coffee, very strong with a dash of 1% milk
Tea or Coffee? Also, what flavors/brands?
coffee, I've been grinding my own beans, it's fresher experence. Also got small filter to place atop of my mug, and just pour hot water into it. IT'S HORRIBLY AMOUNT OF TIME, it takes as much time as tea, but man does it taste STRONGER, like really strong and fresh, doesn't have that ash tray flavor some coffee can be.
Lipton decaf tea. Not a big coffee drinking. Not really a big tea drinker either, but a hell of a lot more than coffee.
I drink both in equal capacity. I've drank coffee for far longer though. Since I was 3. I've drank tea since I was 5. I even had my own mini teapot when I was little. I don't drink that crap from coffee shops, I make my own at home, and make it really strong.
I tried quitting coffee and replacing it with juice but it didn't work out. I kept nearly falling asleep in class.
Tea. Always tea.
I've drank Earl Grey every day since I was 12, so I've always got a good few tins sitting around. Beyond that I like trying out most any tea, but I mostly just drink black & green teas
My acid reflux has only gotten worse with age, so coffee's pretty much out of the question at this point
Black Coffee and I have found it so hard to get decent instant brand coffee in Japan so got my parents to send this premium brand coffee over
Green tea, especially jasmin green tea. It's very healthy, wards off cancer, speeds up the metabolism and tastes simply incredible with a fresh lemon.
I'm crazy about it. It's gotten to the point where I consider making good tea an art. It's certainly the case for coffee; techniques such as pre-heating the mug as well as using fine beans (leaf in the case of tea), and letting it cool for just so long.
I'm very fond of black coffee and cappucino, but they both do a number on my stomach unless I've eaten right before-hand, so it's a rarity for me to enjoy it.
For Tea: I drink a variety of black teas - Red Rose, Twinings, or Tazo. UPDATE 2017: I now drink Taylors of Harrogate really smooth even when ist steeped strong.
For Coffee: I mostly drink locally roasted coffee from Nantucket Coffee Roasters. UPDATE 2017: Still drink this even at home using drip-through process - Costa Rica SHB and Organic Sumatra Adsenia
Coffee, Carte Noire for many years.
Not sure where it's from, probably France.. I love it and won't ever change brand
Chai. Assam as the base black tea with a mixture of sweetened condensed milk and spice mixture to spice and sweeten it.
At least a thread great for conversation was necro'ed, for a change. I'll leave it open.
Love me some tea. I don't much like Twinnings because their Earl Grey always tastes slightly soapy to me - no idea why. My all time favorite used to be Lipton Honey and Lemon black tea, which I can't find anymore unfortunately. The smell of that stuff was just amazing. If I could go back and buy up fifty boxes of it, I'd seriously do it in a heartbeat. So good.
I'm also a fan of Lipton's pyramid bag teas, particularly the basic black long leaf, vanilla caramel, and their fruit flavors (there's a berry black tea whose name escapes me right now, but it's fantastic). I try to drink a bit of green tea, but I really haven't come across many varieties that stand out to me. Wouldn't mind some recommendations on that end, particularly those available in major US grocery chains.
Coffee, back of white without sugar.
I've been spoilt since getting a Tassimo machine and now can't abide instant coffee.
I can't stomach tea at all.
I prefer dark roast coffee. My favorite brand is Caza Trail K-cups. They are an unlicensed K-cup available through Amazon.
We drink it black but on rare occasions I'll dump some sugar and creamer in if the coffee isn't my personal favorite.
For cold-brewed coffee I use Diesel Dark Roast from Atomic Coffee Roasters. It's a blend of beans from Indonesia, Nicaragua, and the Honduras. The flavor is dark and smoky yet smooth with a touch of bakers chocolate. It's very close to the taste of the Caza Trail which is a blend from the same regional beans.
My gf and drink a lot of cold tea. We make our own. We use an English black tea with just a touch of agave. Although I grew up in Virginia with sweet tea, once I tried barely sweetened tea my sugar preference changed. I actually find it more refreshing. My favorite cold tea is an unsweetened green-white tea by Teas-Tea. I've been unable to replicate the blend at home and it's not sweet enough for the gf. A glass of sweet southern tea is still enjoyable from time to time.
For hot tea we usually have Teavana's Oprah Chai tea which I think is discontinued.
I drink coffee when I want to work on something and my body isn't complying. Lately though I've been drinking matcha and I find it makes me less jittery so I'm trying to switch to that. I bought a bag of Ito En matcha at a Don Quixote and I haven't found comparable stuff here in Canada.
If I want a less intense energy boost I drink orange pekoe tea. My favourite brand is King Cole from New Brunswick. I grew up with the stuff in Nova Scotia and I love how it tastes compared to any of the other options.
To me what is most shocking is how people are actually able to use the search function in order to necro these old threads. I can't seem to find anything via search so hats off to you.
Bringing this to your attention because someone necroed this shit again 3 years after your comment
@masterrain: this is the tea we use for cold tea
Looks like this thread has been successfully necro'd, so I'll toss in my two cents. I'm definitely a coffee guy, although I can appreciate a good green tea or herbal tea every now and again. As for coffee, I buy from a local vendor that makes their own blends from free fair trade beans. Brew that, add a splash of almond milk, and I'm in heaven.
I'm not a real adult, I only drink Mocha - Made with Jarrah Hot Chocolate, and Maccona Italian freeze dried coffee. Only the best will do.
While I love both tea and coffee and have many kinds I like to drink I think my favorite tea is Ito-En's Barley tea and my favorite coffee has to be the coffee used by a local cafe that I don't know the brand of. Just know it's really good that I don't even need to add milk or sugar to make it great.
I do both.
Coffee: I drink just black. Variety of different brands.
Tea: Earl Grey or English breakfast with a splash of milk. Usually Twinnings as that's the most common here in the US. Sometimes I'll get some other speciality brands. On my visits to the UK, I often bring back some Tetley's as its different from American version we get here.
I drink tea. Black tea specifically with just a dash of milk and no sugar. I drink a lot of Twinings and generally go for your stronger teas (English/Irish Breakfast or Traditional/Australian Afternoon). Tea is for Twinings, after all.
Coffee all the way! My go to super cheap yet delicious coffee would be Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut Iced Coffee. I usually have any kind of Topeca Coffee at home. I do like oolong tea and it's not technically tea, but boba tea is amazing. :D
Coffee all day. As for brand, I don't care really as long as it tastes good.
Stevia and cream.
Diet Coke at times also.
Both.
Coffee in the mornings and occasionally in the afternoon/evening on the weekends. I am partial to lattes or black coffee. When I make it at home it is usually with Biggby coffee. Do not really like flavored "candy" coffees, but can drink them.
Tea in evenings: Iced tea made with Oolong tea in the summer, and hot Oolong, green tea or an occasional Earl Grey in fall/winter.
