Do you really need XP on it? I'd stick with Vista, but if you really need to downgrade, you'll need to format/repartition and install XP fresh.

You are going to need to MANUALLY find all of the XP drivers for that Laptop and create your own Windows XP Slipstream install; so all the drivers are installed during the OS install. Heck some of the components may not even have XP drivers and this is not gonna be a quick and easy task. There is nothing wrong with Vista, leave it alone upgrade to SP1 if not already and enjoy it. Running Vista for a year with no problems.

What do you NEED XP for?

Get the upgrade pack of CS4? Or you can try to repartition your drive for a Vista install and an XP install and see if all the drivers are there for it by default or can be easily acquired. Otherwise you are going to be in for a load of work finding drivers and such.

Can't you dualboot vista and XP? Just create a new partition and install XP on there.
