You have to click the HTML button before putting HTML into the text editor. It's the blue box with HTML written on it third from the right on the text editor icon thingys.

Also, if you don't want to post this on the forums accidentally, navigate away from the page directly after submitting your blog.

I usually test embeds in my about me page and then go live.

Well, that was.....anticlimactic....

Even if you added that properly, Giant Bomb's editor will remove iframe tags, just as any decent site would do.
