So I found this on Digg:


So a big fat thanks to Dr. Pepper, China and Guns & Roses!

For those too lazy to read the 1 page story: goto Dr. Peppers website on Nov 23, give them some marketing info and get a free soda because China allowed a G&R song to be released there.

Yea...it wasn't a direct quote. The album is called 'Chinese Democracy'. The government could have easily not allowed it to be sold (I'm fairly certain China engages in a little bit of censorship here and there...), but they did. The important thing is free Dr. Pepper.

This doesn't have anything to do with China!  Dr. Pepper started this way back in March, offering a drink to everyone in the States if GnR managed to get their first record since 1993 released PERIOD before the end of the year.

So I just reread it and you are right (wait..is admiting being incorrect some sort of breach of online ettiquete?)

....anyway the IMPORANT thing is the free Dr.Pepper. Stay focused.

I have no idea where you got the whole idea about China.
However, that is really cool. Kudos to Dr.Pepper for not pulling  Jack Thompson on this one, I'll be getting my free Dr. Pepper next month.

Yea...I just kinda skimmed the article..saw a bit about a music release and was really focusing on the words 'China', 'Free', and 'Dr. Pepper'.
