The Dark Knight Rises 2nd Trailer

So, if anyone was wondering, the trailer was released this past friday only for IMAX when watching Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The trailer is off-screen since it hasn't been released officially online, but still it looks good and the sound is pretty good as well. What are your thoughts on it? I think it looks sick! the part for the football game looks terrific and Bane looks like a badass, can't wait for summer 2012! :D

FOOTBALL

I saw the 7 minute preview with MI:GP screenings and it wasn't that great.

The clip Is all about Bane, and when he talks it's really hard to understand what he says through the mask, i didn't catch half of the dialogue said. The section involved some stunts with two planes and while it probably took a lot of effort to pull off because i don't think they used any CGI, it wasn't all that exciting.

I was never a big fan of Bane but I'm glad they cast Tom Hardy in that role. He was really good in Bronson.

agreed! he was a beast in that movie, I heard he was pretty awesome in Warrior too, but I haven't seen that since it hasn't been released here in mexico. :(

Both Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are breathtakingly beautiful. /allbisexual

I'm super pumped for this movie though I still can't help but feel it's headed for a backlash it doesn't deserve.

I haven't seen Warrior yet. I am actually more interested seeing Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

I'm not seeing any promotional material, and I'm keeping my expectations low. I believe that The Dark Knight will probably be the high point for the series, and I want to enjoy the trilogy's ending without feeling too let down. I don't know why I'm saying this here. Good day to you all.

Partially that, and I get the feeling certain corners of the internet are already licking their lips in anticipation of being contrarians. The latter is just based off the "OH WOW A GUY IN A BATSUIT LOOKS KIND OF GOOFY IT TURNS OUT!" reactions people were having to the onset photos.

Just take my money, goddammit! I really hope I'm not setting myself up for a big fall, but this just looks great. Tom Hardy should be a great baddie, Hathaway actually seemed to pull off menace way better than I expected in that trailer, the jump ahead timewise after TDK is an interesting move, and I like the distinct class warfare/OWS vibe that this thing is giving off. But I've loved Nolan since Memento, so I'm definitely buying what he's selling.

@CrossTheAtlantic: I just tend to ignore them. Those people were the same ones that lambasted The Dark Knight. I just liked how after The Dark Knight came out those same people were the ones that looked for anything wrong in the movie to say "LOOK, WE WERE RIGHT".

I think this will be a good film.

Anyways, so we're all pretty sure this is taking some kind of Knightfall-like arc, right? Both this trailer and the new poster definitely seem to suggest that.

Everything about that looked cool except the football scene.

I betcha a 10 brad bucks that Batman with die at the end of the movie.

I liked all I saw, except for football. I have this thing against fake sports teams in movies. It takes me out of an experience more than anything else.

I font think anyone in Gotham would be OK with that. Batman dies, Bruce Wayne has his back broken and Joseph Gordon Levitt becomes the new batman.

I believe there was some sort of plan (that didn't follow through) to shoot some scenes at Occupy Wall Street, so I wouldn't be totally surprised.

I'm not getting my hopes up. The third movie in superhero franchises almost always is a let down.

i don't think i've ever been this pumped for a film. summer seems so fucking far away.

@Anwar: They did but they were filming some protests or something in the film and some people were speculating that the movie would use the actual OWS protestors as extras for the film but that didn't happen because it would send the wrong message.

The action looks like its on a lot larger scale than The Dark Knight, and I mean that in a good way.
