@rentfn: Yeah, I read that it is more common in that young adult age group because of their diet. That young adults in their 20's and mid-20's are more likely to eat a lot of greasy and fried foods and that can cause problems with the appendix.

Got three of mine out last week. Really was not bad at all. Relatively painless. I was knocked out during it, though. Recovery has been a breeze.

I'm gonna go have some whiskey and pizza now.

Happily for me I have a big ass mouth, as my dentist told me, so I didn't have to have them removed.

@MrPilkington: I had my appendix taken out and all I felt was relief from the horrible stomach pain that preceded the operation and lasted several hours.
