I just watched The Hangover last night, it wasn't as good as everyone has hyped it up to be. Can honestly say I didn't laugh once, but I did smirk a few times.
I watched it (The Hangover) the day it came out on DvD and literally rolled on the floor laughing, one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Usually I don't find movies funny (I like stand-up comedy more fun) So it was very nice to find that one so funny
Pineapple Express was lightyears ahead in terms of quality. Judd Apatow is the best in the buisness, even if he only produces the movie. Seth Rogen is one of the best comedians out there.
I like Pineapple Express but it wasn't that funny really. Hangover is far funnier just for laughs. I did like a few moments in Pineapple a lot but as a comedy I'd rather watch the Hangover.
Hangover isn't nearly as good as it's hyped up to be but it's still pretty funny. While Pineapple Express... I felt it was trying much too hard, barely laughed at it. I find it odd because usually I love Seth Rogen
Pineapple Express was a disappointment for me- the action was solid, but it never meshed quite well with the comedy. It felt as if they shot two completely different movies, then just edited them together at times. Still, not a bad movie in the least.
This might've been a result of me having a tough week when it was released, but when I saw The Hangover, I absolutely embraced it. It made me cry from laughing so hard, and I walked out of the theater a (semi)changed man. Then I went again to see it the next week. Then one more time the week after. With the exception of movies at the discount theater by my house, I've only gone multiple times to a movie for three special films: Borat, The Dark Knight & The Hangover. With that said, I watched about 20 minutes of my Blu-Ray copy of Hangover, proceeded to say "Yep, I remember that movie all right", then shut it off.
So I would say....neither? No, actually I'd choose Hangover. Yeah, that's the ticket.
Pineapple Express, The Hangover is pretty overrated IMO. It's a fine movie don't get me wrong, but I never found anything Hilarious about it. The previews gave away anything that was suppose to shock me IE them finding a baby, mike tyson punching out zack galifinakis, a naked guy jumping out of a car, them finding a tiger, etc. etc.
I love Seth Rogen's comedy and I just really liked Pineapple express.
I didn't care for Pineapple Express. Nothing against Seth Rogen, hell Zack & Miri Make a Porno was incredibly funny, I just got bored watching Pineapple Express...maybe you need to be high to like it. The Hangover was much funnier and once it got into the main story, never dull.
I like Pineapple Express' direction and it's humor is pretty good. The Hangover was funny, but very overrated and nothing really special. I respect David Gordon Green as a director and he likes to go stylized, so Pineapple Express
although, Pineapple Express is also overrated, but that movie has a little more going for it. I think the Hangover could've gone a little farther but did not take the initiative, for that's not what kind of movie they wanted to make. Though Zach Galifianakis rules (ESPECIALLY in Visioneers)
Screw these people, The Hangover was hilarious. Best comedy i've seen in a while. Pineapple Express didn't make me laugh as much as I would have expected.

Agreed. The randomness of the tiger made me laugh a little, but as a whole the film wasn't my kind of humor I guess.
Haven't seen hangover, but if they're even remotely similar to compare...neither. Pineapple Express is probably in my top 5 least funny movies, every other movie in the top 5 is also a Seth Rogen movie.
From my POV, it really depends on who you watch it with. If you watch a movie with friends its a hell of a lot funnier because there is an audience of familiar beings to laugh with. I watched The Hangover alone and didn't laugh. But as soon as I watched it with about 10 friends I couldn't help but bust up laughing. For me it's a huge social thing. I laugh when others laugh because I have others to laugh with.
I haven't seen The Hangover yet, but I really liked Pineapple Express. I've never even smoked weed before, but something about that movie really made me love it. I think it was the forced friendship between to two main characters. And that one drug dealer guy was pretty funny too.
