This is pretty exciting, even for me (i.e. non-Catholic or even church goer). The new Pope should be named soon.

It's super unlikely, but if it turns out to be Pope Dolan, New York is gonna flip it's shit for the next 24 hours.
Hopefully it's Peter the Roman.

Why is this the first I'm seeing of this?
@siroptimusprime: well I did just make it like 5 mins ago... lol

Hopefully it's the pro-abortion, pro-contraception, pro-gay marriage pope this time.
I wouldn't hold my breath. The progressiveness of the Catholic Church, while better than it has been, still has a lot to be desired.
Said the new pop to the boy

Vinny is the favourite right? He wins every poll I've ever taken part in so I assume he wins every vote everywhere.
Someone with PhotoShop needs to get on this.
@graboids: That'd explain it :D
I'm going to take a wild guess that the new pope is an old white dude that doesn't like women, gays and condoms.

That was quick, wasn't the one last time like 2 months or something
The last election of the Pope was pretty quick, like a couple of days.
The winner!
Are those babies going to pour holy Gatorade on the new Pope, or is something else going on?

Considering Pope John Paul II was the first non-Italian Pope in almost 500 years, I don't think we'll see an American Pope for a while.

SPOILERS: He's probably okay with child rape.
It's actually a part of the Pope's contract.
Hopefully it's Peter the Roman.
Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills [i.e. Rome] will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.
I've been following this even though I'm not religious whatsoever. The whole pomp and circumstance and tradition just fascinates me.

I bet it's John Paul II again, he was well good at it.
He's dead, Jim.
They said that about Jesus.
Hopefully it's the pro-abortion, pro-contraception, pro-gay marriage pope this time.
Wouldn't require that the Church stop being the church?

latest polls show North American Catholics support gay marriage at least.
