I'm a huge sports fan, so I just decided to create this thread to discuss (what else)... Sports!

All of the Los Angeles Dodgers fans have some big news in baseball land. Former Boston Red Sox, Manny Ramirez is coming to the Dodger blue. This should be a great thing for Los Angeles, considering Andruw Jones isn't doing nothing.

PS... Discuss "anything" sports related, I like a good debate every now and then.

Lakers will rape next year once we get Bynum back in the lineup. I can smell the championship already.

Well, to answer legitimately the points made in your post.  I would have to say that at least videogames still have yet to detract from the learning experiences in our educational system's curriculum.

oooh, a candian tough guy.  I was just making statements I believe.  I don't talk 'shit', as you say in your tired, mindless cliche.  My comments are not directed at anyone, and what I said is self-evident enough to apparently bother those of you unintelligent enough to percieve it's underlying truth.  Sports makes role-models out of people who don't deserve it, and is basically nothing but a drainhole of money and effort that without question could be used for more beneficial purposes.  It is an institution that provides nothing except entertainment for those who are easily entertained, which I'm assuming from your critical response is a category you belong in.

I sure as hell hope so. I expect him to be better than Alexander was last year.

Even with Alexander having a terrible year we still did alright because of Matt Hassleback. If he has the same kind of year and Julius Jones has some productivity I think the Hawks will do pretty well.

Yeah they have  been a good team in the NFC,I'm expecting good things out of the Cowboys this year...

Right now I honestly think the NFC title game is going to be Dallas vs Seattle. I just hope we have home field advantage.

Oh and to add to the thread, I'm a fan of the Tennessee Titans, heres to hoping they do something this year.

As a die-hard New York Giants fan, it's going to be difficult for the Giants to win back to back Super Bowls. I was hoping that they could pick up Jason Taylor, but he sign with the Washington Redskin, "Go Figure."

I'm kinda bummed about the Manny deal. I'm a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, and anytime we see a good player leave the team, especially Jason Bay, it's a huge loss. I am happy to see that we got some good prospects though, like Ethan LaRoche and Chad Henson.

I also still can't wait for the football season. My High School is a big football school, so that should be sweet. I'm also excited for the Auburn Tigers and Pittsburgh Steelers to start playing.

wrong, sports represent what is most basic and primitive in the minds of men.  They are games that mimic the fundamentals of war.  It is a barbaric practice that encourages violence and animalistic mentality.  Reading a book is much, much different from being a sports fan.  The ignorance is yours, suprise suprise.
