State your theological standing (Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Muslim, Jew, Zoroastrian, etc).

This is not a debate thread. This is so we can meet like minded people.

If anybody starts a religious debate in this thread, I will personally flag every comment and spam the moderators inboxes until they close the thread.

Atheist here.

Zoroastrianism is an Iranian religion. I thought I'd throw it in there just in case there was any here.

Freddy Mercury was a Zoroastrian.

You sound like a Deist.

Deism is the belief that a supernatural god exists, and created the universe, but does not intervene in it's regular operation.

More detail may be necessary however.

I believe there is a God in some form.  How we are linked together and how our relationship fits into the overall scheme of existence are questions I am still adventuring.

So maybe you're an agnostic? FTA - agnostics do not have to believe that you cannot know whether God exists. As an agnostic, I don't know whether God exists, nor whether it can be proven.

A Catholic is a Christian, although some may debate that. I started out as just a non-denominational Christian, but found the branch that best suited my beliefs.

No-no, I mean you said "Same" when he said "Born-Again Christian". Born-Again Christians are a specific kind of Christian. You're not a Born-Again, you're a Catholic.

I have always been told that a born again Christian is a person who did not have a belief in God, but turned to religion, and was 'born again'. Atleast that is what it means where I come from, but lets forget about such a trivial matter. I will just leave it as I am a Catholic : )

It has been used like that sometimes, but the most common usage of the word, and the one I'm pretty sure the other guy was using, means "Evangelical Christian".

Yeah. There are two kinds of Agnostics - people who just don't know, and elitists who want to offend both Atheists and Religious people at the same time by telling them they're both wrong.

Month old post, but I can cover that quickly as I've known a few. Basically what they do is call both atheists who do not believe and the religious who do believe foolish for doing either because they ultimately believe that no proof of something proves neither that it doesn't exist or it does exist.. and while that's all well and good, it's interesting how they fail to acknowledge the fact that if you live your life on the fence about EVERYTHING, it's really difficult to get even a foothold's progress for either side. We would accomplish nothing and learn nothing if the world was to function in the way that these people expect.
