If you guys would read the freaking article, you'd have seen where the author said this is a common occurrence. The thing that she is disgusted with is the fact that the social workers were considering giving the girl the baby.
It is sad that this is a regular occurrence for a hospital. To think of the absurdity of a social services staff discussing giving a baby back to a young girl who has a history of mental illness putting her baby in a wonderbread bag and trying to flush it down the toilet is irresponsible.
