And on the actual topic, I don't think they posted that image to pander or get page views. There was news about the anime getting a US dub. Could they have used a less suggestive image? Sure, but then again that image is one of the more popular promotional images for that show that I have seen, so it's not that big a deal to me and I think it would be very easy to just pick that picture and go with it without any hidden intentions behind it. It's not as bad as say, Kotaku posting pictures of asian chicks or Gametrailers putting boobs or girls in their video thumbnails whenever the opportunity arises.

It really seems like Whiskey kind of gave up on it; they have no real editorial staff, just freelancers, they're never mentioned in the whiskey family of sites, etc. I could actually see them dropping it quietly at some point because it doesn't seem like anyone cares about it. 
edit- also, as much as I don't like anime, I want to stress that I don't hate on the animevice community itself. I'm sure they're all upstanding people. I just don't understand why you'd want to put something like that up as a footer, especially since i looked at the actual article it linked to and that image has no relevance to the community spolight or whatever. Also, the anime is for jerks thing is tired. Some people think we take it seriously, hell some people do take it seriously, but even those who trot it as a joke, it's getting kind of tired. It also makes us look really bad for "hating" on anime. Basically, if you don't like it, then ignore it. If you like it, then great. Point is, there's no reason to trot out that dumb joke that was played out months if not years ago and isn't even funny anymore.  
That's the one thing that's been nagging me about the community for awhile. The memes and jokes on here are funny, but shit like anime is for jerks and to some extent batmanbatmanbatman just aren't funny anymore, people just say them to get e-cred or whatever and it just seems really immature and annoying now.

Anime Vice either needs to die or they should find some people to run it that can actually find the gems that aren't well known to the western audiences so assholes don't think that people that like anime actually suck and that anime can and is a medium that has dignity.  Ones that actually have great stories and wonderful animation instead of just a website that shifts between Bleach, One Piece, Naruto, repeat.

I have never been to the Anime Vice website, seeing as I don't really like anime.. but just the name kind of entices feelings that the ad represents. Anime Vice. Like I said, i know nothing of the site other than its part of Whiskey Media and represents Anime, but just from the name it kind of sounds like that's what I should be expecting?

If I wanted to look at tits I'd look at real ones. If I'm watching an anime, I want it to be good, not for it to try and gain popularity by flashing a lot of ass.    I have nothing against you liking this anime, but again, it seems really weird to a. Have it as the banner page for your site, and link to an article that has nothing to do with it, and  b. Allow that shit to represent your site at all. Yeah it's a big part of anime, so I don't oppose it being in the wiki or whatever, and yeah the argument is made that different whiskey sites have different rules (no youtube here, no cursing in ComicVine), but at the same time flashing tits and ass to represent your site when that's not all it has to offer is really messed up, especially since some people (and sponsors/advertisers) are going to look at that and have it reflect negatively on not just Animevice but also on the other Whiskey sites as well.
