Topless day in my town? Thoughts?

According to our local news station, women are planning on going topless this weekend (its legal, actually) to say that its OK for females to go bare-chested, and that the premise of breasts being sexualized is wrong.  Here's the link.  Your thoughts?

To me, I don't see what the deal is.  I've often wondered why breasts are viewed differently than, say, an ear or finger.

I've got two rather conflicting thoughts on this; the first being "Heeelll yeeees! They won't mind you running around with a camera then, will they?!" The second being that while women certainly have the right to do as they please, the notion that breasts are just like any other body part is foolish. Women might share this opinion, just as men would share that there's nothing sexual about running around showing their assorted collection of balls and pricks. The other gender simply wouldn't agree. There's always going to be a barrier between the two genders that isn't easily ignored. To the end of time, we'll be hearing men talk of how they "totally saw her boobs", and women will be making comments with their friends, giggling over said new boyfriend's .. girth.

Mind, I doubt that they'll do much harm running around in that fashion. Fact is, it might even do some good for their own self-confidences. And I'm certain that the guys in town will have a blast of a time.

All the while priests will be declaring ragnarok hath cometh and you'll probably see a lawsuit or two over some female co-worker who felt like she was being treated in a fashion that was sexually discriminating, but that's about as bad as it could get. With the possible exception of certain men deeming to take advantage over a top-less girl walking unsuspectedly late, in the evening.

I'd recommend you first tell your close lady-friends to put their shirts on when evening comes, then personally take the day off, find one or two pals and move into a region you know to usually have a lot of good-looking women, say a university grounds; and simply sit, share a few beers, and simply enjoy, mate. I know I would.

Breasts are sexual objects and udders for babies. You need to put those dames in their place by gathering a posse of drunk construction workers and catcall while ogling indiscriminately. That should shame them back running to the kitchen.

But you missed my point, mate, flawed as it might have been, I wasn't arguing for why it'd be the same thing for men to run around, letting it all hang out, but simply that men possess a completely contrary view of what is natural about one's body. The fairer sex are used to breasts and think them natural, just as a man would think his collection of balls natural. Yet what is normal to one gender, is something exciting, something forbidden to the other. I've yet to meet a man who thought that an attractive woman's bouncing breasts weren't a proper reason for a hard-on, just as I haven't met a woman who thought said attractive hard-on wasn't something, if you'll excuse my being so crude, they'd like to bounce on. It's only natural.

Yeah, in some countries where women are covered from head to toes, it's elbows. In europe, it's much less of a deal for women to be bare chested. It's why games like playboy the mansion: private party was AO in north american and teen in europe. It's all relative to where you're from.
