training for my first MMA cage fight (day 6)

see my blog for other days.

didnt do much today. did some grappling. it was fun. Got really frustrated when one of my partners was going full out and i was trying to practice shit and he wouldnt let me try it really. But i guess i need someone to go really hard. Just sucks because ive been training all week. im exhausted and he hasnt been in all week. then he just goes all out on me and records it. very annoying.....

anyways. im getting more nervous each day. i dont feel like im progressing very fast.

Hi, I just have a few questions for you if its not too much, as someone who is very into the MMA scene, I am very interested in your blogs.

Is this and amateur bout, or a professional? What org is it with? How much weight do you plan on cutting, and what methods do you plan on using to cut it? How big do you believe your opponent when he steps into the cage? What is your opponents base, and what is yours ( believe you have said it is Jitz, but I can't remember)? What do you believe your game plan will be for this bout?

Even if you don't answer my questions I wish you the best of luck, you got mad balls to even step into the cage- you said he was a heavy powerlifter, so here to hoping he gases quick.

first : it was going to be professional but now its going to be amateur. some of the other fights on the card will be pro.

2nd: im not cutting weight. i walk around at 128 and im fighting at 130.

3rd: he will probably weigh about 135 when he steps into the cage.

4th: he is a wrestler and a strong man competitor. i dont know what else he trains but his main core was wrestling not to long ago.

5th: my base is jiu jitsu

6th: game plan is actually do just use my reach advantage and keep him back. long kicks and jabs a lot. he will be strong as hell. if he takes me down i will do my best to juse my jits.

 Also, are you training with bigger guys? You need to train with the bigger guys, man. With Hulk, if possible.

yea most my partners are bigger guys. i have 4 friends from my camp fighting the same night as me. all in the 150 weight class.

@Jasta: i dont know yet. i was going to do a jiu jitsu tournament this month and i was going to have to cut 5 pounds for it. with same day weigh ins. but i cancelled that tournament since im fighting a cage fight in a month. i dont want to get hurt before the fight.
