Tropic Thunder was just an OK movie

I saw tropic thunder on friday and I enjoyed the movie but for some reason my friend and i came to the conclusion that its not a movie worth seeing again. I was surprised at this after all of the hype it was getting. I usually don't feel this mixed about movies. Any thoughts?

Glad someone else out there agrees with me. I saw it with a group of friends (around 10) and most of them simply loved it. I was pretty disappointed myself, and probably won't see it again.

I was going to watch it last week but after seeing what some people thought of it, i think i'll just wait for the DVD

I thought it was funny and not superb by any means but one of the better comedies of the summer.  I am still on the fence of whether this or Pineapple Express was better.  Downey was great in TT but Jack Black was not used well at all.

It was easily better than Pineapple Express and Step Brothers in my opinion.  I agree with the Jack Black comment though; his role was just not very good.

I'm probably going to download it or something just for Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Cruise's cameo, but other than that, it looks like standard Ben Stiller and he hasn't really been funny since Zoolander.

I enjoyed it, but it's no more than a 7/10. And I never watch a film in the cinema more than once, unless forced to by friends who haven't seen it.

Its easily the best comedy this year, waaaayy better express or step bros.

So great one liners and the beginning was the greatest.

Loved every min of the movie didnt want it to end.

I thought the comedy itself was alright, but the movie overall was good.
